Today we’d like to introduce you to Codi McIntyre.
Hi Codi, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Throughout my life I have always worked or been around Sports & Entertainment. After graduating from College of Charleston, I went and worked for my family’s business that manages and operates large entertainment venues throughout the country such as NFL stadiums, NBA arenas, and MLB facilities. Through these experiences, I have had the opportunity to open major sports facilities and work alongside individuals and their teams such as: Arthur Blank with Mercedes-Benz Stadium – Home to the Atlanta Falcons & United (MLS) and Mark Davis with Allegiant Stadium – Home to the Las Vegas Raiders.
In 2022, BBB expanded into the hospitality and wedding industry within Charleston, SC by opening CHEERS (Charleston High-End Event Rental Service) specializing in Tabletop & Lounge. In 2024, we purchased the Harbor Club and are currently restoring the 25,000 square foot space within the French Quarter of Downtown Charleston. The new name of the Event Space and Private Club will be called Le James, and it will open in May 2026.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There have been plenty of struggles along the road.
Working 80 + hour work weeks after first graduating from College of Charleston for the first (5) years.
Having to move to a different city every three years was tough once you’ve developed relationships within that City.
Managing 1,000 employees at the age of 30.
Plenty of mistakes and struggles were encountered along the way but you learn from them, and they make you a better person + businessman.

Currently operating CHEERS which is a High-End Event Rental Company that specializes in Tabletop & Lounge for weddings and corporate events here in Charleston, SC. In addition to CHEERS, I am restoring the old Harbor Club back into a 5-Star event space and private club. The space will be renamed Le James and will have 25K sqft encompassing three levels along with a rooftop.
What makes you happy?
Alot of things… Specifically with work I enjoy the chase.
Sure, the finished product is great; however, there is beauty in the struggle. I have always believed you grow the most when you’re uncomfortable.
Working for my family has been a true gift and something that provides consistent happiness. When you know people support you in the good times and bad – you’re destined to do ok! A famous quote I have always loved – “Most people don’t want to be part of the process, they just want to be part of the outcome. But the process is where you figure out who’s worth being part of the outcome.”
Personally, my family and friends make me very happy. A warm summer day on Sullivans Island is nice too!
