Bethany, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I have been a registered nurse for 20 years. I started in my nursing career as a cardiovascular step down unit nurse, and absolutely loved bedside nursing! However, I quickly realized that I wanted to do more! I decided to pursue nurse anesthesia and go back to school for that. I spent two years in the intensive care unit gaining critical care nursing experience before attending nurse anesthesia school. After rigorous training, I Graduated with a Masters degree in Nurse Anesthesia in 2012, and have been practicing anesthesia ever since! In 2020, I became very interested in the world of aesthetics. After attending a very intense training with a nationally known injector, I decided to start my own business in 2021. The extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology that I learned and anesthesia school and nursing school helped prepare me for the world of injecting. In 2021, Southern Grace Aesthetics was born! We specialize in minimally, invasive, natural-looking aesthetic treatments with a goal to help women achieve a more rested and refreshed, looking version of themselves! It is our ultimate privilege to be able to pour into women and help them regain their confidence to ultimately help the outside of their body match how they feel inside-Aging naturally, with a touch of “Southern Grace”!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road to entrepreneurship has not been easy. With my background being in nursing and anesthesia, I had no idea of anything about how to run a business. There were no business classes in nursing or anesthesia school. Most of what I have learned along the way has been trial and error, but always with safety in our patients. Best interest in mind and at the heart of everything!

How do you think about happiness?
My absolute favorite thing is when I hand my patient a mirror after a treatment is completed- When they look in it and tear up or smile from ear to ear because they are so happy with their results. THAT is why I do what I do- to pour confidence into women and help them love what they see in the mirror! This makes me the absolute happiest!
