Hi Tymanii, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started my LLC in 2023, as a 6 month birthday gift for my first born daughter. I was making t-shirts as a hobby, and I was encouraged to make a business out of it. I created my second business, Chase Elite Sports, LLC- a licensed AAU basketball team for my son.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t been a smooth road, like any beginner I’ve had some challenges. For starters, I’ve had to teach myself the basics, Tiktok, Youtube, etc. I’m tech savy, so I could figure out somethings as far as designing the website, but other things like the quality of the shirts, how big to print the font, etc. My business is home based, and I started as just making t-shirts on the side, and then I began to venture out into being a vendor, which was another ballgame I wasn’t initially prepared for.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Zuri’s World, LLC and Chase Elite Sports, LLC?
My first business is Zuri’s World, LLC. I have two, my second LLC is Chase Elite Sports, LLC. I’m an AAU coach and team owner, and I named my second LLC after my son (same gift for him for his 6 month old birthday). I make and customize apparel, accessories, sportswear, and just about anything else that can be printed on. If you have a vision, I can make it come to life. I’m a Medical Assistant, currently finishing my bachelors in History to become a high school history teacher. I’m an automated logistical specialist in the SC Army National Guard, and I specialize in everything basketball related. I’m known for making t-shirts, bags, cups, stickers, whatever you think of and want on a shirt or hoodie, and for being “Coach Ty’; as I have coached players all over Spartanburg and Columbia.
What sets me apart from others is my age and gender; as there aren’t many local coaches that are females nor young adults. I also take pride in my work, and athletes. I don’t just coach them, I try to help in mentoring them. Last season, I launched a soft skills class where Chase Elite members learned etiquette, social skills, interviewing skills, financial skills and other skills that are important for young adults to know. In 2026, I’ll be opening it up to the public. On our off weekends, we did community service. I’m extremely proud of that, because we’re not just a basketball team, and it’s really important for me that these kids (who are the future) are growing up as leaders and overall great young adults. Being young myself, I like to use my influence for good and do my best to impact them in the best way possible. I will be launching an online class soon for parents, on teaching them how to get their kids college offers, branding deals and recruiting information that most coaches aren’t telling them. I also push education, and all of my basketball players had a 3.4 (or higher) GPA last year. Academics are extremely important to me as well, being a 4.0 GPA holder and have been majority of my academic life.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
To me, the most important and rewarding thing is that the young adults that I’m coaching become model citizens. I want to push them to be the best versions of themselves athletically, academically, and morally.
