We are husband and wife duo and we began our adventure by doing everything in our power to share and enhance the running experience for those around us! We’ve always been the first to wave, nod, smile, high five, or hug on the running trail because we believe that the power of a positive running community extends far beyond the run! It’s about encouragement, companionship, and discovering new depths together! Running is a gift and we aspire to spread the spirit of that!
The truth is – when you feel awesome, you run awesome! After spending 15 years together in “Track Town, USA” (Eugene, Oregon, USA) soaking up every aspect of the running culture we couldn’t help but bring our energy to Greenville, South Carolina! Our goal with Greenville UpTempo Sports is to give. Give an experience. Give encouragement. Give to the community.
Greenville UpTempo Sports has committed to giving 10% of our gross sales to The Shriner’s Children’s Hospital of Greenville. We believe in their mission, their staff, and their impact! Thank you for joining us in this effort!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
So far it’s been overwhelming smooth! Greenville has such a celebration-style attitude toward small business startup especially those that pull community together from all corners! Very grateful for such a positive response to our business venture!
