Check Out Haley Grant’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Haley Grant.

Hi Haley, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My name is Haley Grant, and I’m the owner of Creative Balance Charcuterie. If I had to describe my perfect night, it would absolutely include wine, cheese, and great company—and I quickly realized I’m not alone in that! I’ve always loved a good party. In fact, I discovered early on that not only did I love attending them, I had a real knack for hosting them too.

I’ve always had a passion for entertaining—especially themed parties. There’s just something about creating an atmosphere where people can connect, laugh, and feel taken care of. Over time, I noticed that while I genuinely enjoyed the planning and presentation that goes into hosting, many people found it overwhelming and stressful. Others loved to entertain, but didn’t feel confident creating that “wow” moment for their guests.

That’s where Creative Balance Charcuterie was born. My goal is simple: I help people party—with less stress and more style.

For those who want to learn how to create show-stopping charcuterie boards or grazing tables themselves, I host hands-on classes full of simple yet impactful tips. They make the perfect girls’ night, book club activity, church group event, or team-building experience. Everyone always comes in saying, “Mine will never look like that,” and leaves surprised, empowered, and proud of their creation.

I offer private parties for groups of 10 or more, or you can join one of my public classes—those are listed on my Facebook page under Events.

I also love collaborating with other businesses. Hosting a class at your location is a great way to bring new faces in the door—and the best part? I do the advertising for you. We can keep the event private, or make it public to maximize exposure. The classes themselves can be introductory or themed—like “French Cheeses,” or a “Brunch & Boards” concept.

For those who don’t want to host or simply want to check a few things off their to-do list, I offer a full range of charcuterie products—from mini boxes (perfect for gifting or snacking) to date-night platters, to full-scale grazing tables for weddings, showers, or corporate events. Everything is handcrafted and completely customizable.

I love adding unique, personal touches. Whether it’s an edible logo, a stamped message, a cookie-cutter shape, or a custom laser-engraved board—my goal is to help you gift something truly one-of-a-kind. I also offer full dietary flexibility: vegan, gluten-free, keto, nut-free—whatever your needs are, I’ve got you.

And charcuterie isn’t just meat and cheese anymore! I create boxes, platters, and spreads for brunch, dessert, kids, and even pets.

My products are available any day of the week, but I also offer seasonal and themed specials around every holiday or milestone—from Valentine’s Day to Back to School. In my opinion, there’s really no life event that shouldn’t include cheese.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Nothing worthwhile ever comes easy, right? Like many entrepreneurs, I’ve definitely had my fair share of learning curves—especially on the business side of things. I’m naturally great with people, and creativity comes easily to me, but when it comes to the financials, systems, and backend logistics… that’s where I’ve had to stretch and grow the most.

That said, I’ve been incredibly lucky when it comes to community support. I was one of the first businesses to really introduce charcuterie in the Spartanburg area, and the response has been amazing. People were excited to try something new, and they’ve continued to show up, share, and support me along the way. So while there have definitely been challenges, the enthusiasm and kindness of this community have made the journey so much smoother—and so worth it.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
At Creative Balance Charcuterie, I like to think of myself as part food artist, part professional host, and part creative coach. I specialize in making events not just easier to host—but more beautiful, delicious, and memorable. Whether it’s a curated grazing table, a personalized charcuterie gift box, or a hands-on class, I always aim to deliver that “WOW” factor.

What truly sets me apart is the experience I create through my classes. They’re fun, empowering, and designed for anyone—even those who walk in saying “mine will never look like that.” By the end, they leave with a beautiful board, a new skill, and a big smile. It’s not just a workshop—it’s a full experience. I’ve hosted everything from girls’ nights to team-building events, and each one is crafted to be premium, personal, and stress-free.

I’m also known for my attention to detail and my love for customization. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all. Every board, box, or grazing table is tailored—not just in design or message, but also to fit dietary needs like vegan, gluten-free, or keto. I want every item to feel like a thoughtful, one-of-a-kind gift.

My work has been called everything from breathtaking and artsy to convenient and empowering. My goal is always the same: to make food feel like self-care, celebration, and connection—all wrapped into one delicious presentation.

What I’m most proud of, though, is the community I’ve built around this. People tell me they had the best time, that they learned something new, and that they felt welcomed and inspired. That’s the heart of it for me. Yes, I provide beautiful food—but I also provide a creative outlet, a gathering space, and a way to make people feel confident in hosting or gifting something special.

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
You can find all of my upcoming public classes and seasonal specialty items posted on my Facebook page—so definitely give it a follow if you love fun events, delicious food, and unique gift ideas.

And as you’re looking ahead at your calendar, think about the birthdays, showers, book clubs, or team events coming up. Who doesn’t want to be the talk of the town after hosting something unforgettable?

Food art is my passion—and my way of contributing to life’s most joyful moments. Whether it’s through a beautiful grazing table, a one-of-a-kind charcuterie gift, or a fun and creative class, I’d love to celebrate with you and help make your next event one to remember.
