Meet Josee Regimbald of Ottawa Bloggers

Today we’d like to introduce you to Josee Regimbald.

Hi Josee, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Ottawa Bloggers was founded in 2019 by me, Josee, a content creator based in Ottawa, mom of two beautiful girls, and happily taken by my biggest supporter. I’ve always had a deep love for supporting local businesses, sharing meaningful content, and building real community connections. That passion inspired me to create a space where Ottawa creators, entrepreneurs, and locals could come together, collaborate, and feel seen.

What started as a simple Instagram page quickly turned into a growing network of like-minded people who love discovering hidden gems, attending community events, and championing local talent. Over the years, Ottawa Bloggers has grown into a movement—hosting fun networking events, planning unique local experiences, building partnerships, and helping creators and businesses shine.

In my spare time, you’ll usually find me with my little family, spending time with friends, or hitting up cute local shops and cafés around the city. I’m all about real moments, celebrating creativity, and building something meaningful for the community I love. I’m so proud of how far Ottawa Bloggers has come—and we’re just getting started.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely not! Like any passion project that grows into something bigger, the road has had its fair share of challenges. Balancing motherhood, family life, and content creation while trying to build a community platform has not always been easy. There were times when I questioned whether I was doing enough or if I should keep going, especially during slower seasons when engagement was low or life got busy.

One of the biggest challenges has been doing everything on my own: planning events, building relationships with businesses, creating content, and managing the community—all while raising two kids. There’s a lot of behind-the-scenes work that people don’t always see, and it can be overwhelming. I’ve also faced the usual doubts that come with putting yourself out there—wondering if I’m making the right impact, if people are connecting with the content, or if the effort is being seen.

But even through the ups and downs, my passion for supporting local, creating community, and connecting with others always brought me back. Every message from a small business saying they got new customers, or a creator who made a new friend through one of our events, reminds me that the struggles are worth it.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Ottawa Bloggers is more than just a social media platform—it’s a community-first brand that brings together local creators, small businesses, and people who love discovering the best of what Ottawa has to offer. What sets us apart is our heart. I truly care about the people behind the businesses and the creators in our city. This isn’t just about content—it’s about relationships. I take the time to get to know who I work with, to share their stories with care, and to create opportunities that feel aligned and impactful.
