Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan Bradley.
Jordan, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Growing up I spent most of my free time watching YouTube videos. The main group of YouTubers I watched were a gaming team called FaZe Clan. After watching them for so long I decided to start making my own YouTube videos as well as live streaming. I did that off and on for about 6-7 years before starting college. Once I got to college I had to stop to make time for my studies. I began as a computer informations systems major but realized after two years it wasn’t what I wanted to do.
I transferred to USC my junior year and switched my major to Visual Communications. That major encompassed graphic design, photo, and video skills. During my time at USV I really found my passion for photography and began working as a freelancer. I’ve been at it for about a year and a half now. I plan to keep shooting cars, but plan to branch out into other avenues like real estate and event photography
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There have definitely been struggles along the way. I deal with imposter syndrome sometimes which is never fun. There have been many instances where I felt like I wasn’t good enough at what I do and wanted to take a step back. But every time I pushed through it and kept creating.
It was also hard to get out of my comfort zone at first. I used to be a really shy person and that was a tough hurdle to get over when I first started out. Thankfully, I have a much easier time talking to people now.
Something every creative deals with is also not being at the skill level you want to be. When I first started I felt overwhelmed by the amount of amazing creators in the space that I worried I would never get to their level. Instead of doubting myself I just watched a ton of videos about editing and I kept shooting and practicing
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am mainly a photographer, but have experience and dabble in graphic design and videography. My main specialty is automotive photography and videography, but I do work in other areas as well. I suppose I am most known for my car photography. It’s really cool to be able to go to car meets/shows and have people know me based off of my work. I wouldn’t say I am well known by any means, but everyone I meet knows me as the guy who takes photos of cars. I am most proud of how far I’ve grown so far. I definitely want to grow more and keep improving, but I’m grateful for the skills I have now, the work I have done, and the relationships I have made through this line of work. Im incredibly proud of the work I produce too. I think I have come a long way since I began and it’s nice to see my work be appreciated by other people
