Rising Stars: Meet Alyssa Franco of Charleston SC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alyssa Franco.

Hi Alyssa , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
The Digital Touch actually started with a love for making things look really good online—and a whole lot of coffee.

After working in real estate and marketing for years, I found myself constantly helping friends and colleagues with their branding, social media, and websites. What started as “Can you just help me with this one thing real quick?” turned into a full-blown business. And let’s be honest—I’ve always been the girl with 27 tabs open, obsessing over fonts, color palettes, and catchy captions, so it only made sense.

I launched The Digital Touch to give small businesses that standout sparkle online—the kind of visual branding and strategy that makes people stop scrolling and say, “Omg, I need that.”

Fast-forward to now, I’m helping service providers, realtors, creatives, and local go-getters turn their big visions into real-deal brands. From building websites in a week to crafting scroll-worthy content and everything in between—I’m your go-to creative partner (and probably your biggest hype girl too).

It’s been a journey of learning, late nights, and lots of Canva magic—but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Let’s just say… the road has had a few potholes. 😅

Running your own business is full of highs, but it’s not always a highlight reel. Some days, I wear all the hats—designer, strategist, social media manager, accountant, customer service rep, snack provider (to myself), and therapist (also to myself). Figuring out how to price my services, set boundaries, and say “no” without feeling guilty? Whew. That was a whole journey in itself.

There were seasons when imposter syndrome hit hard, when I questioned if I was doing enough or doing it “right.” I’ve had tech fails at the worst times, client ghosting (yep, it happens), and those quiet weeks where the DMs were dry and the doubt was loud.

But every challenge pushed me to get clearer on my value, tighten up my systems, and remind myself why I started. And spoiler alert: every “rough patch” made The Digital Touch stronger, more intentional, and way more aligned with the kind of business (and life) I want to build.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
At The Digital Touch, I help small businesses show up and show off online—with style, strategy, and a whole lot of heart. 💻✨

I specialize in social media management, website design (hello, WIX Studio queen!), custom branding, and digital marketing that actually connects—not just checks a box. Think of me as your creative sidekick, here to turn your ideas into scroll-stopping visuals and content that speaks your dream client’s language.

I’m known for making marketing feel less overwhelming and way more you. Whether I’m launching a website in a week or designing branded social media templates that make your IG feed look chef’s kiss—every touchpoint is thoughtful, intentional, and packed with personality.

What sets me apart? I don’t do cookie-cutter anything. I truly get to know my clients, their goals, their voice, their quirks—and I build around that. You’re not just hiring someone to post pretty things—you’re hiring someone who sees the bigger picture and knows how to make your brand shine online.

One of the things I’m most proud of? The fact that most of my clients come from referrals and repeat business. That tells me the work is not only beautiful—it works. And as a one-woman powerhouse who’s doing the job of a full marketing team, that’s a big deal.

Plus, nothing beats the DMs and emails that say, “You made my business feel real.” That’s the magic of The Digital Touch.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Honestly? Done is better than perfect. 🙌

As a creative, it’s easy to get stuck in the loop of tweaking, reworking, and second-guessing every little thing. But the truth is, clarity comes through action—not overthinking. Some of my favorite projects (and biggest breakthroughs) happened because I said yes before I felt “ready.”

I’ve also learned that boundaries are a business superpower. Saying no, setting realistic timelines, and protecting my energy has allowed me to show up more fully for the clients and projects I love. Burnout isn’t a badge of honor, and hustle doesn’t have to mean chaos.

And maybe most importantly—I’ve learned that your magic is in the way you do things, not just what you do. People don’t hire The Digital Touch just for pretty graphics or a cute website (although yes, you’ll get that too)—they hire me because they trust my heart, my eye, and the way I bring their brand to life.

That’s the good stuff. 💫
