Today we’d like to introduce you to Audrey Shaw.
Hi Audrey, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
For years, I tried to run from the pain of my abortion. God had me in the very place that fights for the life of the unborn. I attended a Bible study for abortion recovery through the another pregnancy center, Piedmont Women’s Center and my life was completely changed. I saw everything differently and found forgiveness for myself. Now, nine years as the Executive Director at Anderson Pregnancy Care, God has blessed our center with a bigger building, more staff, and more volunteers. I’ve walked in the gifts God has given me, facing my deepest hurts and using them to help others. I have been clean for 19 years now. Daily I lay down my reputation to help others find healing. God has redeemed and restored my life, truly turning ashes into beauty.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I struggled with retreat post abortion. Then addiction and unhealthy behaviors for years. Eventually leading to an arrest that was the wake up call I needed.

OFFERING TRUTH, LOVE & OPTIONS through our free services: Rapid slide pregnancy tests, limited ultrasounds, prenatal vitamins, client advocates, educational information on pregnancy, abortion, adoption, referrals to other local resources, post-abortion support group, educational courses covering information from pregnancy to parenting, assisting with clothing for mom and baby, diapers, formula, furnishings, along with practical help and emotional support for mother and child.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I took a risk stepping into my role as I did now feel qualified to accept. it took time as an interim director for the Lord to show me tat he had equipped and called me into this role.
