Driven by a lifelong belief in the power of thoughtful design to improve lives, my journey began with architectural aspirations rooted in quality, advocacy, and beauty. Inspired by architecture’s impact on human behavior, particularly in healthcare design where it can foster healing, my professional path led to specializing in this area. Witnessing firsthand the positive effects of well-designed spaces, from rehabilitation centers to hospitals, solidified my desire to create tangible objects with similar intention.
A pivotal moment occurred in London, where a chance encounter with my now supplier who shares the same commitment to quality and intentional design sparked the birth of A Bag Concept. This sustainable bag company aims to create functional, beautiful, and reusable bags tailored to the needs of busy women. This venture represents a fusion of the founder’s design background with a passion for everyday objects, applying the same level of thoughtfulness used in designing healing spaces to crafting beautiful and practical bags.
The vision for A Bag Concept extends beyond just selling bags. It mirrors my architectural philosophy of using design as a catalyst for positive change, with the dream of becoming a recognized brand synonymous with sustainability, functionality, quality, and beauty that empowers women. Currently, our company is actively engaged in corporate collaborations, preparing for a new product launch and future collections, and developing philanthropic initiatives to further amplify its positive impact.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Starting A Bag Concept has been incredibly rewarding, fueled by my passion for design and a real belief in what we’re creating. However, like any new venture, it’s definitely had its share of bumps and learning curves. From navigating the complexities of sustainable sourcing and production to building brand awareness and connecting with our customers, there have been plenty of challenges. There are always unexpected hurdles, whether it’s supply chain hiccups, refining designs based on feedback, or simply the sheer amount of work involved in bringing a vision to life. But honestly, overcoming those challenges and seeing our bags out in the world, making a small yet positive impact, makes all the effort worthwhile.

However, the journey of turning that passion into a reality has underscored the absolute necessity of perseverance. There are countless moments – navigating sourcing, production challenges, building a brand from the ground up – where passion alone isn’t enough. It’s the unwavering commitment to the vision, the willingness to learn from setbacks, and the sheer grit to keep moving forward that truly makes the difference.
