Inspiring Conversations with Candice Jones of EdenVA -Virtual Business Manager

Today we’d like to introduce you to Candice Jones.

Hi Candice, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I am an entrepreneur who has owned a credit and financial consulting company prior to launching my Virtual Business Management/Transaction Coordinating Business. I realized very quickly that though most of what I do is front facing in other areas of my life, I truly enjoy the back office/administrative side of organization and decided it made perfect sense to offer my years of experience to other business owners who were drowning in their day to day administrative tasks. Helping ministries and businesses gain more streamlined processes and more focused daily operations really has brought me great joy and I’m tremendously excited for what’s ahead in this journey!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Thus far, the road has been somewhat smooth as I kind of knew what to expect from prior experience building a business from scratch, and setting myself up for success right away. The main struggles were more mental and emotional than anything else. Feeling like I was starting over, though I technically have been doing what I do now for many years, it’s very different when you’re the one having to create every opportunity, and all responsibility falls on your shoulders. Juggling this mental load in entrepreneurship while being a mom to a child with unique needs, a leader in ministry in the community can definitely weigh on you heavily if you aren’t careful. I pray about everything, as cliche as that may sound, but it’s true. I am a firm believer that my faith and trust in the Lord is what continues to sustain and carry me, especially in the not so fun parts that can come with business.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?

What matters most to you?
Honoring the Lord and who He has called me to be is paramount in every aspect of my existence. Authenticity and Honesty in life are so very important to me and I try to live my life prayerfully exuding both. This absolutely applies in business as well. I am committed to always being who I say I am and never misrepresenting myself for any reason, and am very transparent with truth no matter how it may impact me. Integrity above gaining another comma in my bank account is a very real motto of mine. This has allowed me to obtain clients that began to refer their loved ones to me because they knew I was a safe place for them. I aim to always be a trusted source for anyone that encounters me and what I offer, whether personal or professional.
