Today we’d like to introduce you to O’Brian Pompey.
Hi O’Brian, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Born in Florence, South Carolina. Briefly raised in kingstree (cedar swap), South Carolina. Shortly after once my Grandmother passed (Mother’s mom) we moved to Miami, FL. Graduated from American Senior High in Miami, FL in 2003 with a strong passion for using my hands to fix things. Bizzy B’s Improvements LLC was started August 2018 based in Miramar, Florida. The business idea was talked about for a while and with the help/Ideas/Prayers of Ms. T. Harrison (Admin/Project Manager/Co founder) the thoughts became a reality real fast with clients from Hemingway, South Carolina all the way back to South Florida and some even in parts of North Carolina. Bizzy B’s strives to help each client bring their Dream to a reality. I really enjoy what I do and to see the look on each client’s face once the project is complete makes it all worth it.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
If someone tells you it’s all smooth sailing they aren’t being honest. Fist struggle was obtaining clients. Then once the word of mouth was flowing the struggle became trying to balance everything, but fortunately I had an amazing assistant and she keep everything in order. Lastly not having the ability to help everyone who needs you, making time for self is important.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Bizzy B’s Improvements is a very dedicated home improvement company. Our tagline is “Where imagination meets renovation “.Personally I have more than 20 years of hands on experience in different areas. We provide different services from Pressure washing, light installation, Interior/exterior painting, surveillance cameras, TV mounting, etc. We provide free quotes.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite childhood memory while in south Carolina has to be taking apart my power wheel (Red corvette) and putting it back together.
Then fast forward to high-school in South Florida I took apart my first car in mechanic class, and rebuilt the engine just to do it under the supervision of the best shop teacher (The late Mr Mitchell).
