Today we’d like to introduce you to Payton & Emma Thornton & Parker.
Hi Payton & Emma, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
We met in 2023 working at a salon. We bonded over the fact that we were the youngest there, but determined to do something bigger than where we were at the time, and how much passion we both had for the beauty industry. We had lots of conversations about where we wanted to take our businesses, so as we both got busier, we took the leap of faith to go full time on our own separately. Later that year, we were offered the opportunity of opening a studio together in West Greenville; so we took another leap of faith and came together to open Divine Esthetics Studio.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
We definitely faced some struggles along the way. We had experience working for our self, but being first time business owners in an actual salon studio, we didn’t know everything that came along it. We had complications with maintenance issues, our licensing, bookkeeping and learning each others strengths and weaknesses, which all ended up making us a stronger team. These are all skills we had to learn together through research, trial and error and having faith that it would work out.
We have always known bumps in the road are apart of owning a business, we knew it wouldn’t be easy and we knew it would take hard work. But we also know that we are two young women who are passionate about what we do and are willing to do whatever it takes to see our dream come true. With patience, communication, and a lot of faith, we have made it through every obstacle and plan to continue.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We offer esthetics services, including lash extensions, brows and more. We believe in the services that we provide because we truly think even the smallest changes, like lashes and brows, can make the world of a difference for someone’s day to day life. Whether that be a new-found confidence, a simplified morning routine, or a better sense of self care, we know our work makes a difference.
We specialize in customized lash extensions, and we focus on what would flatter the clients eye shape, their lifestyle, and personal preferences. We love doing wispy, textured lashes, and trying new styles.
