Hidden Gems: Meet Shay Sutton of Inspire Art Industry

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shay Sutton.

Hi Shay, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
As a student at USC upstate in 2017 I was given the opportunity to create a fashion show for a school festival titled “Inspire Fest” since then I have managed and trained models around the upstate to help further their career in fashion and or music. I have created many fashion events and musical showcases across the upstate since then such as “Everything Golden” and “Netwave” but in 2020 I took a break due to Covid as well as I started a family. After going through some life changing experiences My passion changed a bit. I wanted to really make an impact on my community, especially the women in my community. That’s when I created my first Women Empowerment brunch, titled THE BOSS LADY TEA PARTY. This event was a success as I was able to Have greenvilles own Ms. South Carolina Jada Samuels come and speak with the ladies and encourage us in her own way. But it didn’t stop there. Just this past weekend on April 5th I held another sold out Boss Lady Tea Party on a rooftop that was absolutely incredible. For this event I hosted myself and created a safe space for women who consider themselves “boss babes”. I also had the wonderful Precious Bivings, aka Coach P in the building teaching the ladies how we can truly achieve the abundance we were created to have. I plan on going forth with the Boss Lady Tea Party events in different cities but I also plan on getting back to model management but for kids in my community.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s been a few obstacles, once a full time entrepreneur then experiencing covid having to go back to a 9-5 while raising two kids under the age of 4 was a bit much. I faced depression, financial problems, toxic relationships but I kept fighting and truly found my purpose by using my story, my struggle to empower women like me with The Boss Lady Tea Party

We’ve been impressed with Inspire Art Industry , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Inspire is my first baby it is the umbrella to everything. This is how I started creating fashion events, musical showcases. Managing models and artists and now creating women empowerment events such as The Boss Lady Tea Party. I offer it all. I manage, I create and I succeed in everything.
