Today we’d like to introduce you to Natorsha Hammonds
Hi Natorsha, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My name is Natorsha Hammonds everybody calls me Danellie or Dannie , I’m 31 years old I’ve been dancing 15 years +. I have 6 kids, I am a CNA, and currently in college to get my bachelors. My passion is dancing, mentoring, and helping kids grow into wonderful humans. I believe in God and what he is doing in my life. I started my organization 7 years ago, after the loss of my daughter due to abuse.
It took me to go through a lot to learn myself and my passion , once I have my life over to God completely everything changed. As a little girl I’ve always imagined myself as a Christian and trying to be my best. But that’s not the way it worked out, it went from going through my own trauma I’ve been through so much and seen so much as a child . You would of thought that it would of took me away from God but it only brought me closer. I never understood why me, the gifts was there but so was the temptation,abuse,rejection, and drugs. God told me to put it all together and I’ll get A NEW TESTIMONY! Who would of ever thought that I would be the chosen one, the blessings flow in sand the gifts gets stronger.
There are days when I want to give up, and walk away. Waking up everyday and asking a God to forgive me for not being prefect, letting the devil put stuff in my head. I’ve always wanted to accepted but yet I’ve always been misunderstood,sometimes it gets frustrating. I just wanted people to listen and care for me like i did. I really love God , and I never understand his plans but always work out for my good.
My Dream is to open a dance studio for praise dancers and travel to minster with my gift. I’ve always had travel dance ministry in my mind , heart , and dreams. I will not give until I get it , knowing my purpose took sometime helping others find their passion and purpose will always be my Goal. One of my other Goals are to open housing , and building for workshops, food pantry, etc.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My biggest struggle was believing myself and understanding the vision and where it had to go when I first stared.

I am a community advocate, I help individuals find their purpose and passions. A new testimony offers many programs travel Dance ministry, life coaching sessions, budgeting sessions, food pantry, clothing closet, and in the future we would love to open up housing , and workshops. Something that sets me apart from others will be definitely my heart God is completely in control and I never move with him. I am mostly proud of seeing others that I help be able to use what’s taught in their everyday life.
How do you think about happiness?
Seeing others smile and be comfortable makes me happy. Knowing that my organization does that helps me sleep better at night.
