Check Out Sean Russel Herman’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sean Russel Herman

Hi Sean Russel , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’ve been training and studying movement since I was a kid. I started surfing at the age of 3, which led to skateboarding, ice hockey, martial arts, pretty much everything you can think of. By studying and knowing how my body works, I was able to pick up things quickly.

After a serious shoulder injury and no health insurance, I started diving deeper into calisthenics, meditation, and primal movements. This lead me down the rabbit hole of all things mind and body.

Fast forward to now, I decided to open my own Movement Studio, Musou Movement, where I teach all things movement, with the mind being the most important concentration of all. Mindset is everything, and without the ability to adapt, you cannot thrive.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Absolutely not! But that is the beauty and purpose of it all. Wisdom is not given to you, it is earned through experience. I could go on and on about all of the challenges I have faced but I wouldn’t change a thing. I decided to take control of my life and I intentionally make those decisions everyday.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am the founder of Musou Movement. Musou Movement is a holistic movement program focusing on Mind and Body adaption. Classes consist of Mixed Martial Arts, Functional and Mobility training, Acrobatics, Dance, Meditation, and Breathwork. I also teach people the importance of nutrition, and hot and cold recovery.

My private teachings have naturally shifted towards Movement and Life Coaching, as well as healing injuries. I am building a strong reputation in replacing Westernized Physical Therapy programs, and offering a different approach to recovery as well as proactive injury prevention.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
I am very passionate about what I do, and I live what I teach. I am constantly evolving and always thriving to learn more.
