Community Highlights: Meet Jenna Fabrizio of Rolling into Wellness, LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jenna Fabrizio

Hi Jenna, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I moved to Charleston from New York City 3 years ago to be closer to my immediate family. Prior to my move I had worked as a psychiatric social worker for the New York State Office of Mental Health for 7 years. My move prompted me to leave my hospital job and honestly pushed me to step out onto my own and open my private practice, something I never really envisioned myself doing. Working for the hospital system definitely gave me plenty of clinical skills and the confidence I needed to handle really tough situations. However, owning my business for the past 3 years has pushed me to grow and expand in many different ways. I had to learn how to not only be a clinician, but I also had to learn how to be a business owner, which is something I had never done before. Over the past 3 years I’ve continued carving away at the type of business owner and clinician I can feel proud to be, and believe this has changed as I’ve continued to grow. I’ve leaned heavily on my local community and likeminded clinicians like myself that are balancing the journey between entrepreneurship and our clinical background. I pride myself on finding and growing a really beautiful and authentic community of likeminded peers. Understanding that collaboration will always prevail over competition has been one of the biggest values of my business.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My biggest obstacle has been being my own boss! The more I’ve continued growing my practice, the more I find myself wanting to do which is exciting but can also be very draining if I’m not careful. I’ve had to become very strict with my own energy levels and try very hard to prevent burnout. Finding the balance between my “on” time and my “off” time has been a challenge and I continue to work on burnout prevention strategies and finding that perfect work/life balance. Saying “no” to certain opportunities that don’t feel truly aligned for me has been one of my biggest lessons that I’m honestly still learning. Recently someone in my circle told me that entrepreneurship is something that you’ll always be evolving and changing, and I couldn’t agree more. I had to learn to lean into the ever changing needs of my business in order to keep growing.

As you know, we’re big fans of Rolling into Wellness, LLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Rolling into Wellness, LLC is a virtual mental health practice that serves South Carolina, New York, and Florida. I primarily serve professional women that are navigating the anxieties and unknowns of life’s stages and transitions. I love to work with women that are working through questions in their relationships, identity, self image, professional career and so much more. I am trained in phase 1 and 2 in Brainspotting, which is a somatic based treatment for trauma, anxiety, depression, and difficulty processing past experiences. I absolutely love being a Brainspotting practitioner! It’s a great tool for helping my clients gain control and peace over their lives without re-experiencing past traumas. I utilize a very holistic and integrative lens in the therapy room and love to offer integrative sessions that combine a mix of talk therapy, holistic and integrative wellness, coping tools, and Brainspotting. I also love to offer Brainspotting healing intensives in conjunction with traditional talk therapy for added healing and support. A question I am always asked is, “what kind of therapist am I”. I am the therapist that is going to educate you on mindfulness, breathing strategies, aromatherapy, and will offer a variety of tools to try outside of our sessions, but I’m also the therapist that will not make you journal if you’re not enjoying it! I am going to laugh with you, curse with you, cry with you and make you feel truly comfortable talking about the hard things. I will not put down any form of healing as long as it’s working for you! I am most proud that my clients tend to stay with me for an extended period of time and/or return to treatment as needed, and feel excited to restart sessions even after time apart.

Since opening my practice I also leaned heavily into the holistic healing world for my own healing and support – which then prompted me to want to bring this kind of healing to my clients and the community. I trained to become a Reiki Master Teacher and Sound Healer and have truly enjoyed integrating this work with clients in and out of the therapy room. One of my favorite things to do is lead women’s wellness and healing events where women can come together in community and connect with no barriers or judgement. I love to play my crystal sound bowls for events for 2 reasons – one I get to flex a completely different therapeutic muscle and two I absolutely love seeing everyone’s faces when they awaken from the best 45 minute slumber of their week!

Additionally, I co founded a Collective for likeminded wellness practitioners, Carolina Wellness Entrepreneur Collective. I co founded this group alongside my 2 friends and dear colleagues, Samantha Newton and Laura Rippeon. We host networking and self care events for practitioners across the Carolinas that are looking to connect professionally and personally. This has become one of my biggest joys of entrepreneurship. As friends, we learned how to co run a business and collaborate in a way that fits every one of our unique styles.

Over the past year I also became a coach and business mentor for likeminded therapists that are looking to create community, collaboration and visibility. I support them in growing their clinical businesses, as well as expanding their visibility online and in their local community. Some of the offerings I help fellow clinicians with including: creating, marketing and executing wellness workshops, grass roots marketing strategies, developing healing intensives, and business mindset support. It’s become a very exciting role to guide clinicians from the sidelines and silently cheer them on as their businesses grow and prosper.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The most important lesson I’ve learned in the therapy room – just sitting with my clients, showing up, and being someone they can trust and rely on is one of the most important and sacred things I can do as a therapist.

My most important lesson as a business owner – take the time you need to experiment, try out new networking groups, collaborations, etc. This will help you figure out the type of business owner you want to be. Say yes to opportunities to help you gain clarity on the type of business owner you want to be so that you can learn to say no to misaligned opportunities in the long run.
