Today we’d like to introduce you to Victoria Breault
Hi Victoria , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I grew up with humble beginnings. My father was a school custodian, and my mother worked in the cafeteria. Our family of five lived in a small two-bedroom house, and while my parents had full-time jobs, they also took on extra work preparing homes for sale—emptying and cleaning them for owners. That experience exposed me to real estate at an early age and planted the seed of wanting more for myself and my family.
While in high school, I enrolled in a local college to get a head start on my education. I initially pursued real estate paralegal studies, thinking it might lead me to a career as an attorney. I landed a summer job as a paralegal, but within six months, I realized that becoming a realtor was intriguing. At the time, it felt like something to do while I figured out what was next.
Then, life took an unexpected turn—my mother passed away, shaking my world. My job at the time gave me a severance to grieve, and rather than sitting in my sorrow, I decided to take a leap and get my real estate license. I figured I would give it a test run, and to my surprise, I absolutely loved it. Over 20 years later, I’m still going strong, building my career and planting even deeper roots in real estate.
I love networking, supporting fellow realtors, and taking great care of my clients. There’s something magical about bringing people together, making the process smooth, and finding creative solutions—some might even call it working “real estate magic.” For me, real estate isn’t just a job; it’s a passion, a calling, and a way to change lives, just as it changed mine.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Real estate is everything, but smooth…ha! There is nothing smooth about real estate, but I LOVE it. I originally got my license in the state of CT where it is much more aggressive. When I started I didn’t have many trying to help me grow. That area was threatened by anyone with a license and drive. South Carolina is much different. When I came to SC I spent a good year learning the area and building my network which included my fellow agents. Eventually, that turned into me opening my own brokerage, Tabby Realty and creating a women’s real estate tribe of over 2K women in RE.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?

I am proud of the culture we have built, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Tabby Realty isn’t just a brokerage—it’s a family. And when you work with us, you become part of that family too.
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
What do you love most about Charleston?
What I love most about Charleston is its history and architecture. There’s something magical about walking down cobblestone streets lined with grand historic homes, gas lanterns flickering as you pass by. The city has a certain romance to it—whether it’s the charm of Rainbow Row, the hidden gardens, or the breathtaking view of the harbor. Charleston feels like stepping into a story, where every street has a tale to tell.
What do you like least about Charleston?
Charleston has grown a lot, and with that comes a bit more traffic and congestion than I’d like. It can be frustrating at times, especially during peak tourist seasons. But honestly, I wouldn’t change a thing about moving here. The beauty, charm, and sense of community far outweigh any minor inconveniences. Charleston is home, and I feel lucky to be a part of it.
