Becoming a licensed esthetician was a deeply personal journey for me. I struggled with adult acne for years, and while my dermatologist helped address the breakouts, I wasn’t informed on how to properly care for my skin afterward. That lack of guidance left me feeling lost and frustrated, but it also sparked my curiosity about skincare and the science behind it.
Determined to find answers, I dove into research and discovered my passion for esthetics. I pursued formal training, eager to help others who might feel the same confusion and frustration I once did.
My commitment to providing personalized care and achieving real results for my clients kept me focused. Over time, I honed my skills, stayed up-to-date with industry trends, and built a loyal client base that continues to grow.
Today, as a professional esthetician, I take pride in offering customized treatments that not only enhance my clients’ natural beauty but also empower them to feel their best. From facials to lash extensions, every service I provide is backed by the knowledge and passion that started me on this path. I’m incredibly grateful to be in a field where I can make a difference in people’s lives every day, and I’m excited to continue growing and evolving alongside my clients.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road—like any entrepreneur, I’ve faced my fair share of challenges. One of the biggest hurdles starting out was building a clientele from scratch. Establishing trust and credibility in a competitive industry takes time, consistency, and patience. It can be daunting when you’re putting in the work but not seeing immediate results, but persistence pays off.
Another challenge has been balancing the many aspects of running a business. Managing bookings, marketing, product inventory, and finances while also providing high-quality services requires wearing a lot of hats. It’s been a learning process, but it’s also taught me the value of organization, time management, and adaptability.
On a personal level, one of the toughest struggles has been overcoming self-doubt. In a field where you’re working closely with people’s skin and appearance, there’s always a pressure to deliver perfection. I’ve learned to trust my training and focus on doing my best for each client while understanding that growth takes time.
Despite the challenges, these experiences have made me more resilient and passionate about my work. They’ve taught me to embrace the ups and downs as opportunities to learn and grow. Each obstacle I’ve overcome has strengthened my commitment to helping my clients feel confident and that makes every struggle worth it.

Lol! I like to call them Blessings and Lessons (Can I get an Amen?) Blessings and lessons have played an interesting role in my life and business. On one hand, I believe blessings have been on my side in the form of the incredible people I’ve met along the way. From my support team who believed in me early on to mentors who shared their wisdom, I’ve been fortunate to cross paths with individuals who have helped shape my journey.
Then there are the lessons. Like any business owner, I’ve faced moments where I questioned my career (keeping it real). Whether it was unexpected challenges like cancellations, economic shifts, or setbacks during the learning process, there were definitely times that tested my perseverance. But I’ve come to realize it’s less about the lesson itself and more about how you respond to it.
Blessings open doors, but hard work and consistency keep those doors open. And even when lessons strike, they often come to help you grow stronger.
In the end, I’ve learned to focus on what I can control—my passion, dedication, and willingness to adapt. Blessings may play a role, but I believe success is rooted in showing up and staying resilient, no matter what comes your way.
