Today we’d like to introduce you to Nick Stewart
Hi Nick, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started working in residential construction with my father-in-law’s construction business in Florence, SC in 2012. I worked with him for about 8 years and then decided to move back to Greenville and start my own construction business. I took the residential builders test and received my license in 2021. I have been getting work mostly by word of mouth.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has never been a smooth road. Growing a business has always been work. Once you figure out one thing, there is always another thing that’s needs attention.
As you know, we’re big fans of Nick Stewart Construction. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I specialize in residential remodeling. Most of the clients I do work for are wanting a new bathrooms, new kitchens, new decks/patios and new roofs. Really, anything that needs updating or to be repaired in a house I will do.
I strive to keep communication the most important attribute of my company. Letting the client know what’s going on with the project I’ve learned is pivotal. Whether it be cancellations, mistakes, money, details, or building a lasting work relationship, these things make or break you.
My brand is still a work in progress. I’m glad to be known as someone you can call to get what you need done.
My goal in business is to give the client what they asked for and even surpass expectation. Residential construction is saturated, but having what seems like normal values; honesty, communication, work ethic, and excellence in work has kept me busy.
