Today we’d like to introduce you to Celeste Iannazzo
Hi Celeste, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I am born and raised here on Hilton Head. I grew up with my big family here, I am one of five children, I loved it growing up here and attended our local schools. I found Cosmetology when I was 15 through the Technical High School Academy for Career Excellence, this is where my career began. I had an amazing teacher, Mr. Browning, who inspired me with a dream of owning my own business when I began my cosmetology journey, and it would finally emerge within the last few years.
When I graduated high school, I graduated with my high school diploma and my cosmetology license and went to work in the industry immediately after graduating. I continued my education at the Technical College of the Lowcountry for a business degree, and while finishing that, I was blessed with the super surprising news that I would also become a mother. After working behind the chair for a few years, I came across an opportunity to buy an already existing salon that I was working at. As terrifying as it was, I took a leap, and that was the first step.
Since then we have moved locations and rebranded, creating our own name in the beauty world. With the help of my other half and our amazing team, our masterpiece of Salon Celeste was created. In August 2024, we took another leap of faith buying our second location in beautiful Bluffton, A Beautiful U by Salon Celeste.
I have been blessed with the most amazing support and clients over the years, without them our success would still only be a vision.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I will say there are many challenges to the business world. Being 100% honest, I don’t love paperwork, and that is where my other half saves my life. I like to do everything with the best of my abilities, and with all my heart, and one of the challenges that I do face in business is that I cannot think with my heart. Lastly, I would say balance would be the thing I struggle with the most, there’s never enough time in the day as most moms know. Being completely committed to my life at work and my life at home with my family is tough, and I’m very thankful to have all of the people around me that are so understanding.

Salon Celeste is a premier hair salon located on Hilton Head Island. Originally, Salon 5200, we rebranded and relocated in November 2023. Our Hilton Head location offers full hair services, skincare, waxing, make-up, events and head spa (Japanese Scalp Massage). In August 2024, we expanded into Bluffton, we purchased A Beautiful U in Plantation Park. A Beautiful U by Salon Celeste offers hair services, pedicures and manicures. Both locations have a wide range of retail hair products available.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I love Hilton Head Island, I am born and raised on the island. I love our beautiful beaches and amazing restaurants. I’ve met so many kind hearted people here while in the cosmetology industry.
My only dislikes would be the traffic a certain times of the day coming over the bridge. On occasion, it gets a little too cold during the winter months (with a laugh).
