Check Out Derek Schultz’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Derek Schultz

Hi Derek, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
At 28 years young, hailing from the quaint town of Feasterville just outside Philadelphia, I’m deeply rooted in the values of hard work, honesty, and dependability. My journey in the construction industry began under the tutelage of my father, where I absorbed the intricacies of the trade, learning every aspect of the business firsthand.

For the past decade, I’ve been honing my skills and expertise, striving to uphold the principles instilled in me from the very beginning. Trustworthy, honest, and committed, I approach every project with unwavering dedication, ensuring that each endeavor reflects the integrity and excellence synonymous with our family legacy.

Driven by a desire to carve out a better future for myself and my prospective family, I’ve set my sights on Charleston with eager anticipation. The prospect of meeting and serving the vibrant community fills me with excitement and a profound sense of purpose.

Beyond the construction site, I’m a devoted family man, cherishing the bonds that tie us together. In my downtime, you’ll often find me fishing or on the golf course, indulging in two passions that fuel my competitive spirit and drive for excellence.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been smooth. Its been very tough. I was very close with my family and it was never my intention to start my own company. I interviewed with 5 different companies in Charleston and never got a call back from one of them. So I decided to start my own company but I started with low capital and had no education in the back end of construction businesses and whats needed to start a business but we keep pushing through and continue to grow and further our education everyday.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Our business is in transition right now from going to smaller jobs to bigger projects. We will be transitioning into more outdoor spaces, retaining walls, pavers, stone work, and more. We have partnered with great people in order to take on these projects and the knowledge that our professionals have is unmatched. We are known for our great customer service, reliability, dependability, and honesty. We are most proud of the joy we bring to customers when they realize how smooth our process is from start to finish. Reliability, Dependability, and Honesty are our main pillars that we focus on.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I don’t believe in luck. I believe in God having his purpose for doing things good or bad. He puts things in your way for you to either take advantage of or shy away from.
