Hi Tierra, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
It all started with me attending esthetician school to specialize in lash extensions but instead I fell in love with waxing and facials! I attend esthetician school for seven months, graduated took my test for state board then I started applying to waxing jobs at different franchise companies but unfortunately they did not want to work with my employment schedule at the time. This is what cause me to start looking for my own suite and the push I needed to start Lavish Vault Studio. I looked at several spaces but everything just fell into place when I met Mrs. Halley; I never thought a landlord would be so helpful, understanding, and encouraging. She’s definitely someone I look up to in this business and I am so grateful to have found her. Ms. Halley gave me freedom to customize my suite how I would like so I could make it my own! Very excited and overjoyed to see my dreams come to life; it took me about two weeks with the help of my brother for us to turn an empty suite space into Lavish Vault Studio aka LV Studio and the rest is history !
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Well I do not know to many entrepreneurs that have had a smooth road to success. Trials and tribulations is a big part of success and it builds character. So to answer your question it has not been a smooth road but God has shown me every time I meet him half way he will take care of the rest! Which made me understand even more why you have to keep showing up for yourself and your business! As a business owner of course you can have slow days and then turn around and have booked out months so social media content, advertising and marketing have been helping me along the way with growing my business and pre-books have been keeping my business thriving with returning clients! If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
I would have to say perseverance would be the most important quality for success, because you must have the ability to keep going, to keep trying and put your best foot forward everyday to overcome challenges even when things get difficult. This is the most crucial for achieving your goals along with determination, motivation, believing in yourself and last but not least put God first because without him Nothing is possible Amen!
