Check Out Keyselle Rosander’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Keyselle Rosander

Hi Keyselle, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I have had many passions and hobbies throughout my life; Photography is one that has never wavered – I think I get that from my mom (she has always had a camcorder/camera/her phone out to take photos).

I loved getting my roll of film developed when I was little and seeing what I had captured (even if it was double exposed photos most of the time). My photography has evolved into digital galleries, but the passion remains the same.

I’ve been a family photographer for about 15 years, and a photographer of everything else my whole life. I started my photography journey in Upstate New York, and moved to the Lowcountry of South Carolina in 2021. There is a wanderlust engrained in me for traveling everywhere for photography (and food) adventures, and I have been fortunate to travel a lot. On a senior session with my cousin pilot, he let me fly the plane for a minute! To say my career so far has been rewarding is an understatement.

Family comes in all shapes and sizes, and I am here to photograph every step of the way with a mix of portraits and lifestyle photography.

I hope to preserve moments as families grow in life including celebrations of love and life, individual milestones, milestones in relationships, maternity to newborn to baby, school dances, senior sessions, graduation, family, and generational photos (or maybe just photos of fur babies and their parents). Either way, I love being part of the journey!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Moving to South Carolina has been one of the hardest transitions in my photography that I have faced thus far. Starting over is really difficult, and last year was an incredibly hard year with unimaginable losses among family and friends, yet another miscarriage, surgeries, and sickness. So much heartache, but at the end of the day, I know these are catalysts for something incredible on the way.

I worked with some amazing people at the American Heart Association photographing the Lowcountry Heart Walk last year and have been asked back for a few events this year and started building a new website that is still under construction, but will focus more on South Carolina.

With every new year comes new challenges and triumphs. This year will be no different; It is just the beginning.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Over the years, I have specialized in newborn and family photography, being known for making babies calm, toddlers happy, and getting real smiles from teenagers. I love ocean, food, travel, and nature photography when I am shooting for myself.

I am proud to have worked with a few very meaningful non-profits throughout my career, including Make-A-Wish, the American Heart Association, and Mom Starts Here.

I try to stay true to the session, and hope to capture the emotions of each photoshoot. That is my ultimate goal.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
I love collaborating and trying new things – if you have an idea, let’s try it! Of course, I would love for everyone to book a session with me, but at the end of the day, the best way to support me is free – follow me on social media, like my images, or just show love by spreading the word. You may not have a need for me at the moment, but maybe someone you know does, and I hope you keep me in the back of your mind for when you do need me. Word of mouth has always been my favorite way to meet and photograph new people/businesses/projects.
