Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I noticed a lack of diversity, inclusion and whimsy within the Massage Industry and I just wanted to be that change. I wish I had a really inspirational underdog story but I don’t. One day, I just got super fed up with how things were and decided I wanted to at least TRY to be a breath of fresh air within the industry. Anime, Manga, and Kawaii Culture are my biggest passions. Why not combine that with my profession? Cookie cutter “luxury” spas always felt overwhelming and intimidating to me… As if I was somewhere I didn’t belong. My goal for my business is to create a safe space for those who feel underrepresented, and for those who are just as nerdy as I am, to relax.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Plenty! There is still a lot of misconceptions about Massage, so I’ve been asked a lot of uncomfortable and unsavory questions. I was very hesitant to even start my business in the first place, because I was worried that a concept like this wouldn’t survive in Columbia, South Carolina. But you never know unless you try! And I’m glad I did. I’ve gotten so much positive feedback.

I’m a licensed Massage Therapist and I’ve been in the industry for about 4 years now ! I’m certified in many modalities such as prenatal, oncology, lymphatic drainage, geriatric, hot stones, cupping, and craniosacral therapy! I’m known for providing the most relaxing Swedish Massages in the most coziest, and kawaii-est atmosphere ever. All my enhancements at my business are free. I don’t believe in charging people for more, since my main focus is on YOU feeling better! If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I was very shy and weird growing up. I didn’t talk to much but I think I always stood out from the rest due to me not being afraid to be myself. I’ve always had a deep love for anime, manga, video games and collecting. Growing up, I was (and still am) very active in the cosplay community and would even perform at conventions! I think I’ve always never been afraid to be myself, but I always also a very meek and quiet person. I’ve grown out of being shy, and I’m way more outgoing now. I’m still pretty quiet though LOL
