Daily Inspiration: Meet Chloe Church

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chloe Church

Hi Chloe, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started my nanny career out of a genuine love for children. After nearly a decade of working full-time with families, I’ve come to recognize serious issues within the industry that need attention. In the beginning, I was too afraid to speak up, but over time, I realized just how many others are enduring toxic, manipulative, unsafe, and even illegal work environments—and are being silenced. That fear I once had transformed into a powerful motivation to drive change and speak out for those who can’t.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t been an easy journey. Since the release of my book, I’ve been flooded with stories from others who feel trapped in similar situations. At the same time, I’ve faced backlash from some of the individuals mentioned in the book and those close to them. They’ve gone to great lengths to tarnish my reputation, spread false accusations, and encourage their friends and family to leave negative reviews in an attempt to discredit me.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’ve always had a deep passion for caring for children and writing, so combining the two felt natural to me. While my book is titled Nanny Nightmares, it’s important to note that I have truly loved my nanny career, especially when working with respectful, supportive families. The ‘nightmares’ refer to the extreme and absurd situations I’ve experienced with a few toxic employers. I’m incredibly proud of Nanny Nightmares because it has sparked a much-needed conversation and is paving the way for positive change in the domestic staffing industry.

Any big plans?
I have exciting plans on the horizon, including new books, handbooks, and a top-secret project I’m working on for the ultra-luxury market.

One of my biggest goals is to create a national safety database for families and domestic staff—a system that would require or strongly encourage participation to ensure accountability. This would include an HR structure to support domestic workers, along with a hotline and official safety protocols that cannot be silenced by NDAs. No one should be manipulated into unsafe conditions, and it’s time we prioritize the well-being and protection of those in the industry.
