Exploring Life & Business with Brandon Reichle of Par Three Custom Tees

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandon Reichle

Hi Brandon, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always had a passion and curiosity for entrepreneurship. In middle school, my book bag was full of candy bars that I was selling instead of books. However, even through college and in the beginning of my professional career, I always just assumed that I would work a “normal” job. During my second year of being a middle school teacher I was talking about side hustles and ways to make extra cash and my co-teacher, Jane Ryans, told me all about the garment decorating world. Up until that point, it never even crossed my mind how apparel was printed or decorated. She gave me a lot of info and resources and even bought me a few supplies to get going. I played around with heat pressing some shirts and spent the better part of a year watching youtube videos and doing hours of research. After that I made the decision to purchase some screen printing equipment from a friend that was getting out of the business who did me a huge favor and cut me a deal and I started slowly printing shirts for friends as a side hustle until it got to the point that I could pursue it full time.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The more established the business becomes the better capable we are at dealing with challenges. Having processes in place, past experiences to lean on, well trained employees, better equipment/software all help us overcome the day-to-day challenges that come with running a screen printing/garment decorating business.

The challenges of being an entrepreneur are endless though. I stress when we’re too busy and stress when we’re too slow. Just when I think we’re positioned perfectly for some serious growth, the market shifts. Or just when I’m almost bought in on upgrading and investing in a certain area of the business, the industry shifts due to some new tech advancements. I pride myself on being fluid and willing to listen to feedback from our clients so that were able to best serve them. At the end of the day, they are dealing with their own set of industry specific challenges and shooting at a moving target too. It’s up to us to be able to fill the void and be there to solve some of their challenges in the tangible marketing products world.

There are also many personal struggles that are associated with entrepreneurship. Work life balance being one I still struggle with. I genuinely love what I do and catch myself spending too much time working. Burnout is real as well. Its definitely a cyclical thing with me. But when I’m refreshed or working on new projects, I have to constantly remind myself to reel it in and even when I am home, my wife may not want to talk business 24/7 like I do.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Par Three Custom Tees?
Par Three Tees is a custom apparel provider. We offer many different decorating methods such as screen printing, embroidery, DTF (Direct to Film) Transfers and more. We also offer other ancillary services like signage, promotional products, and print products.

Our main passion and how it all began is screen printing. Whether it be 12 shirts or 12,000, we can help out.

We also have some big changes happening in the coming months. We’re working on rebranding and narrowing our target market a little more. The change is coming from not only market influenced pivots, but also personal idealogical shifts. We’ve been partnering with more and more churches across the lowcountry. In doing so we’ve been able to ID some of their pain points and have expanded our product and service offerings to be able to solve those issues for them. In the past 12 months, I’ve also come to the realization that my passion for business coupled with past life experiences had lead me down a path to worshiping money. I felt the need to use my talents and my business to advance the Kingdom and honor God instead of using it to make as much money as I possibly could.

Although the name will change, many things about Par Three Tees will remain through the rebrand. However, ultimately, we will exist to honor God, serve our clients, support our team members and our community through providing churches, missions, non profits, schools and small business with branded merch and tangible marketing solutions.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
