Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Anna Hansen
Hi Sarah Anna, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Sarah Anna Hansen studied Commercial and Fashion Photography at Columbia College Chicago. Hansen has traveled, worked, and exhibited her photography worldwide. She has been published in a variety of magazines including Vogue Italia, Modern Luxury and many others. She has been photographing for 20+ years and creating for as long as she can remember. She photographed portraits of politicians including Christopher G. Kennedy in Chicago and others. Sarah and her husband relocated to Dallas, TX in the spring of 2015 – fall of 2023. They are now based in Greenville, South Carolina to bring her mom close to three generations of family. She has lived many years in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood as well as a year in Osaka-shi, Japan. Sarah and her husband are now the caregivers for her elderly mother. Sarah is an advocate of mental health and mental health awareness. Hansen is available for domestic and international commissions.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Life is always an adventure! I’ve experienced my share of storms – yet they just push me to grow in every aspect of life. Living in multiple states has its list of pros and cons. Caring for family, and my own health challenges. I love photographing people, helping them see the best in themselves. Photographing others motivates me even in the most difficult of days. Focusing on others and helping them grow, market themselves brings me joy!
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My work is classic, clean, happy – my goal is to help others see your value, strength, personality. To capture a special season such as high school seniors or to connect clients to you from a single headshot. Now days everyone needs a headshot, anyone can take a photograph. My years of experience my goal is to capture how you want others to see you in a single image. My goal is to treat everyone like a celebrity, rock star, magazine cover shot! It is all about having the right photographer that you connect with and create your image with.
What makes you happy?
As I mentioned earlier I love photographing people! Even after all these years it brings me joy and happiness to capture your personality!
