Exploring Life & Business with Letasha Robinson-coleman of Inspirations 4U/Ella Writes Studio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Letasha Robinson-coleman

Hi LeTasha, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I grew up in foster care, and I believe that my imagination helped me rise above the difficult realities of my life. I frequently sought refuge outdoors or in shadowy corners where my creativity could thrive. This journey sparked a profound passion and love for the written word. My fascination with books naturally blossomed into writing my narratives. I felt a sense of freedom from the moment I picked up a pen.
Words became my companions, offering solace and understanding when the world seemed overwhelming. I discovered that storytelling was not just a hobby, but a lifeline, weaving fragments of my experiences into something meaningful and beautiful.
Over time, I found my voice—strong, resilient, and uniquely mine. I began crafting stories that not only entertained but also inspired hope and connection. Through the characters I created, I explored themes of resilience, friendship, and the power of imagination to transcend adversity. Each story became a testament to the belief that no matter where you come from, you can create a path to where you want to go.
Writing has become my sanctuary, a place where I can express my deepest thoughts and dreams. I hope that my words can offer others the same comfort and inspiration they have given me, reminding us all of the boundless possibilities that lie within our imagination.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The journey has not been easy, but it has certainly been worthwhile. Anything truly valuable rarely comes easily. We often grapple with self-doubt and the perceptions others have of us. Frequently, the toughest challenge is breaking free from the mental prison we create for ourselves. Yet, with perseverance and resilience, we can unlock the doors to our potential and embrace the growth that lies beyond. It’s in these moments of struggle that we find our true strength and learn the most about who we are and what we are capable of achieving.

In 2020 I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Learning how to embrace a stage in my life that for a long time, I tried to hide from everyone. I was not even forty and did not understand why I was having to deal with Breast Cancer. However, this made me allow people in to support me that I did not think I had. Growing up in Foster Care I didn’t have the support that a lot of others had. I had learned to be self-sufficient but I was quickly reminded that cancer cannot be fought alone. This put me in a place of vulnerability by opening up but it was the best decision I have ever made and I feel like I have just started living my best life.

I am a part of a wonderful organization called Here 4 the Girls whose home office is in Virginia. Through this organization, I had the opportunity to be a Calendar Ambassdor and represent the great month of July 2024.
