Rising Stars: Meet Chanda Nash of Spartanburg, SC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chanda Nash

Hi Chanda, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My name is Chanda Nash, a 25-year-old entrepreneur and proud mother of one. Since 2022, I have proudly served as the founder of ItGirls864, a platform that evolved into the ItGirls: The Carolinas. My journey has been deeply rooted in empowering young women, igniting their passions, and guiding them towards fulfillment. With a continuing 18 years in the entertainment industry, starting from my early days performing at the Spartanburg Auditorium to owning my very own dance studio of 7 years, teaching and mentoring over 70+ young women, ‘The Sparkle Dance Factory’. I have groomed my skills across various domains, including event planning, choreography, hosting, creative direction, music, modeling, graphic design, video editing, and more. My unwavering love for my work and my dedication to fostering enduring success for both myself and the women I mentor fuel my ongoing commitment to my purpose. From a young age, I harbored a burning desire to carve out success from my talents, with my support of someone who invested in all my visions, my mother, who stood by me as my business partner. The one person who believed in me more than I believed in myself. Together, we launched the immensely successful Sparkle Dance Factory, impacting numerous young girls’ lives by providing a haven for sisterhood, growth and self-expression. However, tragedy struck in 2020 with the sudden loss of my brother and mother, upheaving our lives by taking my backbones and support system.
As a new mother of one, losing mine made me feel a lack of purpose. I lost a part of myself that took to a dark and lonely place. At a point of time I felt defeated but with unwavering faith I found my spark with the launch of ItGirls864 which reignited my sense of purpose. Witnessing over 40 auditions, I was reminded of the trust these aspiring talents had in me to guide them towards their dreams. My testimony and journey runs deeper than words can convey, but one day, I aspire to share my experiences with countless young girls worldwide, urging them to keep going, stay true to themselves, and prioritize their well-being.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
As a young female entrepreneur, I face many challenges that often make me question continuing my journey. With ItGirls: The Carolinas being both a creator group and a TV show cast, I’m stepping into two highly competitive fields. Rejection can be discouraging, and balancing mental health with consistency is a constant struggle—especially as grief is something that never truly ends. I have to remind myself to give grace because I’m my own toughest critic. On top of funding both my personal life and my dreams, I’m also a mother. There’s so much more that happens behind the scenes on this entrepreneurial journey.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I would describe myself as an all-around entertainer, working as a choreographer, editor, event planner and decorator, content creator, creative director, and model. I’m also the CEO and Executive Producer of *ItGirls: The Carolinas*, a reality series featuring eight female creators and entrepreneurs coming together to highlight the lives of hardworking creatives who share common goals and collaborate to build their platforms and achieve them. I’m known as the “Chandino The CEO” simply because Im an innovator who brings visions to life, leads with purpose, and executes plans effectively. What I’m most proud of is the name and reputation I’ve built for myself through hard work and dedication.

What does success mean to you?
To me, success is all about value—being respected because my hard work and accomplishments speak for themselves. It’s having the ability to fund and direct all my visions without limits and bringing them to life. Success is also about receiving genuine recognition for what I’ve achieved and setting up a life for my child where she can create freely without facing the same hardships. It’s about knowing that I’ve fulfilled my inner child’s dreams and reached a place of financial, mental, and physical abundance.
