Today we’d like to introduce you to Lisha Rae
Hi Lisha, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My father was a rapper in Houston, Texas. He would always rap, and I became interested. I made poems, then I started rapping. I started rapping professionally in 2021. I became known with my song “Barbie”, and it reached important peopel such as celebrities and reached radios. People started calling me queen of Augusta, and I became that. I was awarded that. Ever since then, history has been made.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The struggles along the way have been that, as a female rapper, I have to work twice as hard to get half the respect men get. I can do a million things. If a man decides he wants to pick a flower out of the ground, and then I pick 500 flowers out of the ground, I realize the man is going to get twice the respect, meanwhile, I picked 500 flowers out of the ground.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a female rapper. My name is Lisha Rae, and I am known for being the queen of Augusta. I am most proud of things such as my celebrity friends and supporters and my awards. I have been awarded Augusta’s history as to becoming the first queen of Augusta. I have been awarded Best Rap Video with my song “Barbie” and more. I’m also most proud of having a voice for Augusta, Georgia, the south, and women. What sets me apart from others is that I represent an entire city. I am a woman of this generation, and I have a voice.

Something surprising that most people don’t know about me is that I love the color blue. Blue is just so cool, you know? Skies, beaches, oceans and hats are blue. Blue is cool.
