Today we’d like to introduce you to Cetara Williams
Hi Cetara , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I discovered my passion for doing hair back in 2010 when I started Cosmetology school at Richland Northeast with my instructor, Nancy Riley. After graduating high school and earning my cosmetology license, I stepped away from hair for a while. But in 2021, my cousin asked me to do her daughter’s hair, and I found myself back in the world of braiding. I started by braiding for family, and by June 2023, I told my sister I wanted to offer my services to the public. In August, I applied for my braiding license and received it! I worked from home until February of this year, when I made the decision to move into a shop—by far the best choice I’ve made. Since then, I’ve gained so many clients and valuable experience, and I’m incredibly grateful.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The experience has been amazing! When you truly love what you do, it doesn’t feel like a “job.” I enjoy the challenge of different hairstyles, and it means a lot that my clients trust me. There have been long days and nights in the salon, but at the end of it all, I genuinely love what I do.

Braided By C is located inside Fade & Beauty Factory, a barbershop owned by Aundra Jackson. It’s a kid-friendly space that welcomes all ages! I specialize in braiding natural hair and styles with weave. What makes me stand out is my patience with kids who find getting their hair done difficult, and my willingness to try new styles. I’m proud to call Fade & Beauty Factory home for Braided by C, and our atmosphere is truly one of a kind.
