Life & Work with Christopher Forcenito

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christopher Forcenito

Hi Christopher, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hello, I am Chris from CF Woodworks LLC. From a young age, I was always drawn to art, constantly sketching, painting, and finding creative ways to express myself. That artistic passion never left me, and as I grew older, it naturally evolved into a love for woodworking. In 2019, I decided to turn this lifelong passion into a full-time business, founding CF Woodworks LLC in my father’s garage.

What started as a hobby quickly transformed into something much bigger. At CF Woodworks, We specialize in creating epoxy river tables and epoxy art, blending natural wood with vibrant resin to craft one-of-a-kind pieces. My commitment to quality and innovation has helped CF Woodworks LLC become a leading name in custom epoxy furniture design, and we are on the path to becoming the #1 river table fabricator in the state of New Jersey.

Despite the growth of my business, I continue to serve my community as a full-time police officer. Balancing both roles has been challenging but deeply rewarding. The discipline and attention to detail required in law enforcement have been invaluable to my work in woodworking. Through CF Woodworks LLC, I get to channel my creativity into crafting beautiful, lasting pieces of art that clients can cherish for years to come.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I can definitely say it hasn’t always been a smooth road. Starting out in my dad’s garage back in 2019, it was tough to balance my full-time job as a police officer while trying to grow the business. One of the biggest challenges was learning to market my work. I’ve always been an artist at heart, but turning that passion into a full-fledged business took a lot of trial and error.

Another major hurdle was perfecting the craft of epoxy river tables. The process can be unforgiving, and it took a lot of time and effort to refine my techniques. I also had to juggle financial constraints, sourcing high-quality materials, and managing client expectations, especially in the early days when I was still building my reputation.

But through persistence and passion, things started to pick up, and now CF Woodworks is on its way to becoming the top river table fabricator in New Jersey. It’s been a learning process every step of the way, but each challenge helped push the business to where it is today.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
At CF Woodworks LLC, I specialize in creating custom epoxy river tables and unique epoxy art pieces. My work blends the natural beauty of wood with the creative possibilities of epoxy, resulting in one-of-a-kind, functional art pieces. What sets me apart is the attention to detail and the personalized touch I bring to each project. Every piece is handcrafted, from selecting the perfect slabs of wood to pouring and shaping the epoxy to bring my clients’ visions to life.

I’m most proud of the growth CF Woodworks has seen since starting in back in 2019. Turning this from a hobby into a full-time venture, while balancing my career as a police officer, has been a rewarding journey. Seeing the satisfaction and excitement on clients’ faces when they receive their custom pieces drives me to keep pushing the limits of what I can create.

What really sets CF Woodworks apart is the dedication to quality and craftsmanship. I don’t cut corners, and I treat each project like it’s a piece of art, not just furniture. The fact that I can create something beautiful and lasting out of natural materials, with a personal connection to each client, makes this work truly special.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
There are definitely a few resources that have helped me both in running CF Woodworks LLC and in balancing life in general. For business and creativity, I’ve found YouTube to be an incredible resource. There are countless woodworking and epoxy resin artists who share their techniques and tips, which helped me a lot when I was starting out. I also follow a few woodworking forums and blogs where professionals share insights on everything from tools to finishing techniques.

When it comes to mindset and personal growth, I enjoy reading stories about successful businesses and entrepreneurs.

For staying organized, A good old school Hand written Calendar helps me keep track of my projects, deadlines, and day-to-day tasks, especially since I’m balancing my police career alongside the business. Keeping things streamlined and tracking progress has been key to staying on top of everything.

Lastly, books like *Little and Often* by Trent Preszler have been great for developing the discipline and habits needed to manage my woodworking business and energy effectively.
