From the Heart of Savannah, GA, to a Thriving Catering Business in the Low Country: The Journey of Eggs-zactly Specialty Services, LLC
Growing up in Savannah, Georgia, I spent countless hours in my grandmother Louise Baker’s kitchen, unaware of the profound influence her culinary magic would one day have on my life. She was an exceptional cook, transforming simple ingredients into unforgettable meals. Her warmth and talent became a part of me, though I didn’t fully realize it at the time.
After relocating to Moncks Corner, SC, in 2014, I found myself drawn back to the kitchen, experimenting with different flavors and recipes. It all began with deviled eggs—but with a twist. Soon, my unique spin on this classic dish became a staple at family gatherings and workplace events, eagerly requested by friends and colleagues.
By 2021, a spark of inspiration ignited: Why not share my specialty deviled eggs with a broader audience? I decided to advertise, expecting just a few curious inquiries. To my surprise, the response was overwhelming. Orders flooded in, even after the holiday season passed. What started as a holiday favorite quickly transformed into a year-round business opportunity.
Fast forward to 2024, fueled by a heart full of gratitude and a passion for growth, I expanded beyond deviled eggs. Eggs-zactly Specialty Services, LLC now offers an array of distinctive appetizers, dips, pasta salads, desserts, sandwiches, and more. One standout addition is my Oyster Rockefeller, enhanced with crab and shrimp, which has quickly become a crowd favorite. Each dish is crafted with the same love and attention to detail I learned in my grandmother’s kitchen.
Looking ahead, my goal is to open a storefront where I can serve these beloved flavors daily. I want Eggs-zactly to become a community favorite—not just a weekend indulgence but a go-to destination for unforgettable meals. My journey in catering is rooted in honoring my culinary heritage while creating new traditions for others to enjoy. Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road to building Eggs-zactly Specialty Services, LLC has been anything but smooth. Like many new business owners, I’ve faced the challenge of not always turning a profit, especially in the early days. There were moments when the financial strain made me question if I could keep going. But despite the ups and downs, my belief in my dream and the passion behind it kept me pushing forward.
Catering, in particular, is a very time-consuming endeavor. The hours are long, and sometimes the effort that goes into each event isn’t fully reflected in the compensation. From perfecting recipes to managing the logistics of each order, there’s a lot that happens behind the scenes that can be physically and mentally draining. However, seeing the smiles and satisfaction on my customers’ faces makes it all worthwhile. Those are the moments that remind me why I started this journey in the first place.
Through these struggles, I’ve learned the value of persistence, flexibility, and staying true to my vision. Each challenge has been an opportunity to grow, and I wouldn’t trade the journey for anything.

At Eggs-zactly Specialty Services, LLC, I serve as the CEO and caterer, leading a passionate team dedicated to providing specialty catering services. What started in 2021 with my unique take on deviled eggs has now grown into a full-service catering business offering a range of delicious appetizers, sandwiches, and desserts. My love for creating unforgettable food experiences is at the heart of everything I do, and my journey from a small idea to a thriving business is something I’m incredibly proud of.

Growing up in Savannah, GA, watching my grandmother, Louise Baker, masterfully work her kitchen, I learned the importance of quality and care in every meal. I’m proudest of the community that’s formed around my business. Can you share something surprising about yourself?
One surprising thing that most people might not know about me is that I didn’t always envision myself in the culinary world. While I grew up surrounded by amazing food, especially watching my grandmother cook in Savannah, I initially pursued other career paths. I’ve worked as a civil service employee with the Airforce for 20 years. It wasn’t until 2021, when I had a spontaneous idea to share my specialty deviled eggs with the world, that I realized just how much I loved creating food experiences for others.
