Today we’d like to introduce you to Morgan Hamer
Hi Morgan, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
In 2018 I hit a major rock bottom. I couldn’t find a job (despite having a real estate license and a masters degree). I had very few friends and I could barely get by financially. At this time, a few people recommended I read the book “Think and Grow Rich” so I figured it was a sign and I decided to check it out. This book resonated deeply, so I started listening to YouTube videos and reading other books about personal development, spirituality, the Law of Attraction, and leveling up. Not only did I devour this information, but I also applied my learnings in real life which allowed me to get my dream job within a couple of months and then an even better job a few months later.
For a few years, I ran a commercial real estate firm while continuing to invest in my personal development in my spare time. I started a podcast that was all about manifesting and decided I wanted to eventually become a coach to help other women experience my same level of success. I also acquired my first multi-unit rental property to start generating some passive income.
After a few years running someone else’s real estate firm, I decided it was time to go out on my own. As soon as I made that decision, one of my profession contacts who I deeply admired invited me to start a real estate firm to partner with his existing business brokerage. In February of 2022, NewLeaf Commercial Real Estate was born and within a few months, we built a team of 12+ agents.
Once NewLeaf was up and running, I was able to revisit my daydream of becoming a coach. I decided to start my business “Morgan Manifests” and create online group programs to help empower women with the tools and resources necessary to create their best life. My professional success in real estate has empowered me to spend most of my time doing what I love most. This includes doing creative activities (such as building my online program), networking, spending lots of time outside, and helping serve others however I can.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It was really difficult leaving my first real estate business to go out on my own. I felt like I was abandoning my team that I loved dearly and I worked hard to create. It was also really stressful going into business for myself and never knowing when I would get my next paycheck. I was hit with at least $50k of unexpected expenses the first 2 years of being self employed, which really rocked my world. At the same time, I lost 18 friends and family members (YES, 18 people in my life passed away within 2 years!!). My path to success included some intense growing pains along the way; but I wouldn’t change any of it because I’m so thankful for where I am today.

Despite all I’ve accomplished, I still struggle with imposter syndrome every time I reach a new level. The good news is, I don’t let it hold me back from going for my goals anymore. I simply view the feelings associated with imposter syndrome as my body’s response entering a new and unfamiliar level.
