Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordyn Snyder
Hi Jordyn, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
It started at six years old when I first saw one of my friend’s older sisters typing on the computer. I had asked her what she was doing and when she said, “writing a book,” I knew I had to do that too.
I’ve written over 6+ books (though only two are under my name) in all different genres, including romance and poetry. I also started my own company focusing on social media and website content for authors, small business owners, and (holistic-driven) fitness/health sites.
Being diagnosed at eight years old with dyslexia, ADHD, and sensory processing disorder should have held me back. I had so many people say that I’d never be a good writer or that I’d fail in school. And those same people probably never would have predicted that one day I’d write and teach others do to the same for a living. How funny life works!
I wouldn’t have had it any other way though. Without those struggles, I likely would have never worked so hard to get where I am today.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
A lot of my struggles come from imposter syndrome.
Dyslexia, ADHD, and my sensory processing disorder were a huge part of my life. I had to be in special classes and work 10x harder than everyone around me just to read and write (and focus). And still to this day (even after successfully launching a writing business and publishing multiple books), I feel like that girl who could barely type a coherent sentence at thirteen. I admit, it still takes me a while to write/edit my work and I’ll never be a speed reader, but I’m darn proud of how far I’ve come!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I have my own company where I create content for authors, small business owners, and the folks in between. I specialize in health/fitness and businesses with a holistic approach to their marketing. My goal with the content I make is to inspire. I want people to finish reading what I’ve written and think, be creative, or talk about it with others. And my favorite thing in the whole world is when clients have the same mindset. Words are impactful so why not healthily use them to motivate and inspire others?
