Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandon Knox
Brandon, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Like many others, I started singing in the church. The church was my outlet for creativity and gave me the freedom to explore my gifts without limitations. I did everything — I played drums, played piano by ear, and sung. As I grew older, my love of music grew stronger, and I realized I wanted to use it to encourage those around me. Subsequently, I realized my purpose: to use my voice for more than just performance, to inspire youth to find their own purpose. I discovered that there are plenty young people who have the capacity to be the best; all they need is a push. I have dedicated my life to doing music & helping children become the best versions of themselves.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been a smooth ride. I’m surrounded by highly supportive relatives and friends who have given me guidance, mentorship and support over the years.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am an inspirational artist. I travel professionally doing what I love to do, sing. In addition, I am apart of the phenomenal staff at Meeting Street Academy. Go Owls! Being a part of this family and having the opportunity to work with and interact with such amazing scholars, educators, and community members is one of my proudest accomplishments. I have gained a second family, and I’m grateful that they embraced me with open arms and provided me with numerous opportunities for growth.
