Today we’d like to introduce you to Tareah Cooper.

Tareah Cooper

Hi Tareah, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, let’s briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
My name is Tareah Cooper. I go by Paradise. I’m a music artist. I also own BSK FASHIONS LLC (BERRII SWEET KISSES). After I had my last baby boy, I went through depression and started picking up mad weight, which has been very hard to come off of. No matter how hard I tried, I lost confidence in myself. Nothing looked right that I would put on till I had to change what I wore. Where I live, there isn’t much in store for plus-size women to my liking. Don’t get me wrong, you can make anything look good but not too much that I like, so I said you know what? I’m taking my life back in 2021. I said you know what?

I’m going to start a clothing store for plus-size women. Even though I will offer sizes for all women, my focus is on all plus-size women. I started researching and found great vendors. Thanks to Tawan Manning Pierce for walking me through the steps I applied for an LLC and other things I needed to get started. BSK FASHIONS is named after my daughter. Her real name is Laneice, but she goes by Strawberrii, so I named it Berrii Sweet Kisses instead of Very Sweet Kisses. She also has her lipgloss line for little girls and adults, lol. Women love lipgloss; thanks to Millionaire Dee, who helped me get started.

My two sons also have a merch line coming, and their clothing line is called BLESSED CREATIONS, so be on the lookout. I’ve had a setback, but my comeback is everything. I’m taking no losses. I’m going to give any and every woman that has the struggle. Of confidence back their confidence with what I’m bringing to the table. When it comes to my music, I’ve had music in my heart since I was a little girl. My grandmother, R.I.P Curtis Mae, kept me in the church choir as I got older. I faded away after her passing, but music is my safe place. I love all types of music; I sing better when I’m not nervous, but I rap more. I stopped listening to music when I got married but never stopped recording after my marriage ended. I got back into it and finally got to tell my story. I am very excited about my projects. I only have one life to live, so why not go for it?

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
At first, it was smooth, but we all know that in life, things happen, as I stated, minor setbacks for major comebacks. My struggles came from a lack of motivation. I lost it while trying to set up websites and thinking, hey, so I’ve got this set up. Let’s get started. Finding investors sometimes was very hard, but my team is coming together. I may as well say it’s more challenging when you are just beginning and having to start business credit. It’s tough, but I want to say Tayda B Wayda helped me a lot as well. I took a class with her on drop shipping, and she also made my logo for me. She is the goat, and she is also my inspiration. She believes there is plenty of money out here for everyone to eat and doesn’t mind showing you or teaching you the way to go at little to no cost. Most of all, I learned that you must keep GOD first in all you do, stay focused, and keep trying until it happens.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Clothing for all women but more plus than anything to all my women all around the world who have lost confidence because of their size whether you were born that way or had any disorder to where you can’t seem to drop weight or from depression and you want to get back to you I have a clothing store I offer not just casual and formal I also offer nice clothing for a night out on the town get back to you feel comfortable in your skin to embrace the inner you my brand of clothing is one in a million watch reasonable prices as well I’m proud of my brand because my clothing will be true to size.

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory was when my entire family would come to town. I’m originally from NYC. When we relocated to SC, most stayed back, but when they came down, my grandmother would take everyone out to this old buffet restaurant called Ryans, and the family would pray, eat, and enjoy each other. I miss those days; I’m big on family. Every family has their ups and downs. I may go months without speaking, but nothing ever mattered when we came together. My grandma was the glue that kept us all together. I miss those times.
