Meet Tanya Colucci of Sacred Soul Guidance

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tanya Colucci.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I received my degree in Exercise Physiology and my Graduate degree in Health Promotion Management from American University in Washington DC. I was a Corporate Fitness and Wellness Manager, Personal Trainer, Fitness Educator, and Mentor for over 15 years before moving into doing Healing Intuitive Bodywork. I went through my own healing journey with debilitating back pain in my late 20’s around a time when I was trying to figure out ‘what I wanted to do next with my life.’ At the time I was applying for my Doctorate Degree so that I could become a full-time professor. Suddenly through this process, my back pain kicked in. I got diagnosed with two herniated discs, spinal stenosis, and severe arthritic changes to my spine. I did traditional physical therapy, and took Vicodin almost daily but nothing gave me relief. It was during that time that I started exploring other ways to heal the body with yoga, meditation, and Energy Healing. I first learned how to do energy work and got certified as a Reiki Master, Yoga Teacher, and Massage Therapist. These modalities definitely helped with my pain and personal path but it wasn’t until I went for my first Myofascial Release Session, that had a lasting impact on me. I left after an hour and was 70% pain-free! That finally led me to find the powerful healing modality of John F Barnes Myofascial Release Therapy. So instead of going to get my Doctorate degree I went to Massage School and started my own healing and wellness business. I truly believe that the physical body is the roadmap to our soul! Through my own personal healing journey, I blend all my knowledge and experience to create a healing plan for my clients. I love inspiring others through my intuition to begin their transformational healing journey.

As I have gone deeper, I am now started to infuse channeling, shamanic healing, sound therapy, and energy healing into sessions with clients. I use my intuition to help clients tap into what their souls are trying to communicate to them through the pain in the physical body.

I am most passionate about Myofascial Release Therapy as a modality that can help reduce pain and start someone on a transformational healing journey.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Some struggles along the way that I have faced have been realizing that healing is a never-ending journey full of discovery and wonders about myself and who I am at a soul level.

I have also used my somatic work, meditation, and shamanic healing modalities to help me navigate divorce and healing from an emotionally abusive relationship. Through that long journey, I realized how necessary it is to have a supportive healing team around me and trust them to help me navigate the waves of emotions.

Now I use my past trauma and healing to help others navigate similar situations through the healing work that I do.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Sacred Soul Guidance?
I have had over twenty years in the fitness and wellness industry and have been fueled by a blend of my own physical healing needs and a deep desire to help others. I have trained in a vast array of healing modalities including Myofascial Release, Visceral Manipulation, Scar Therapy, Cranial Sacral Fascial Therapy, Yoga, Meditation, Reiki, Sound Healing, and Exercise Science. Additionally, I am a certified Shaman and Ordained Spiritual Minister. I take a holistic mind/body approach to healing which leads my clients on individualized healing journeys through a blend of modalities channeling divine source energy for healing and guidance. In addition, my powerful Sacred Soul Coaching and Healing methods use an extraordinary combination of shamanic healing, bodywork, sound, and other ancient ceremonial healing modalities to be your solution for living with joy, purpose, and passion.

I have a gift of being able to sense and feel with my hands and with tuning in to another’s energy to create a safe space for them to explore the limiting beliefs that are holding them back from living a pain-free and joyful life. I hope that through my work in helping others I can empower them to see that healing is a gift if we choose to accept it. While it can be messy and painful, sometimes it also brings with it the waves of choice and power to live a delicious life.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
As a child, one of my favorite childhood memories was going with my father every day to pick up my grandmother from her work as a housemaid. My grandmother and grandfather were both immigrants from Italy and Poland. We would pick my grandmother up daily, take her to grab groceries, and bring her home to her cooking us a delicious meal and sharing stories together and quality time. My Polish Grandmother taught me the art of doing every task and job with pride, hard work, and completion.
