Meet Kathie Watson of Kathie Coaches, LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kathie Watson.

Kathie, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
After successful 20-year entrepreneurial career in the veterinary industry, my passions shifted from pets to people. In my early 40’s, I was diagnosed with ADHD, and that moment became a turning point. For years, I had faced challenges in work, relationships, staying organized, and maintaining focus , yet I never fully understood the root cause. While the diagnosis provided answers, I quickly realized that medication alone wasn’t enough. I needed systems and strategies to truly thrive.

Always passionate about healthy living, I embraced both Eastern and Western philosophies to create a balanced, holistic approach to my own well-being. This path led me back to school, where I became a certified Life, Health and Confidence Coach. As I began working with clients, I discovered a common thread: many women, like myself, were struggling with ADHD. They needed more that just advice – they needed practical tools to build healthy habits, stay organized, and achieve lasting personal transformation.

From this realization, Kathie Coaches, LLC was born. I saw the need for a forward -focused approach, one that didn’t dwell on past struggles but instead equipped women with the tools to create a brighter, more organized future. Today, my mission is to serve and guide as many women as possible, particularly those with ADHD, helping them gain mental clarity, unlock their potential, and discover their self-worth. Through Kathie Coaches, I strive to empower my clients to reach unimaginable goals and find true personal joy.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Starting over and creating a new career, especially as an entrepreneur with ADHD, was anything but easy. I faced numerous obstacles, many of them from within- struggling with mindset and constantly battling imposter syndrome. The negative internal chatter was relentless, telling me, “Your’e too old to start over,” or questioning, “Why would you leave a 20 year career to pursue a new one?” Even well-meaning friends and family raised doubts; “Who’s going to hire you?”

To follow my passion, I gave up a lot. I sold many of of my belongings, took on a part-time job, and went back to school to earn certifications as a Life, Health, and Confidence Coach. Without a designated office space or even a proper place to study, I made do with what I had-working from my screened in porch, local coffee shops, and sometimes even my truck. It wasnt glamorous, but it was necessary.

Once I graduated, the real work began- building a client base from scratch, showing up every day as my best self, and creating a program that would genuinely serve others. There were many days I felt overwhelmed and wanted to quit. It wasn’t just the logistical challenges; it was also the pressure to succeed in an entirely new field.

But, looking back, I am so grateful I did not give up. This journey has allowed me to grow exponentially and has brought me to where I am today – helping others, particularly those with ADHD, to find clarity, confidence and direction in their lives.

We’ve been impressed with Kathie Coaches, LLC , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
As a certified Life, Health and Confidence Coach, my work is centered on helping women (and some men) live with confidence, mental organization, and clarity. While I coach a variety of clients, my passion lies in supporting adults with ADHD who face unique challenges in these areas.

My services range from one-on one private coaching and group sessions to workshops and even home / office decluttering assistance, depending on individual needs.

I live by the principles I teach, always showing up as my clients’ biggest cheerleader and advocate. I believe with the right support, accountability, and systems, anyone can achieve their goals and create lasting success.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
We’ve all heard the saying, “the greater the risk, the greater the reward,” and when it comes to life coaching, this couldn’t be more true. In my experience, both as a coach and in my own journey, success often requires us to step into the unknown and embrace discomfort. Many of my clients, especially those with ADHD, are held back by fear- fear of failure, fear of judgment, or fear of the unknown.

But, here’s the thing: you can be afraid and still take action. I often tell my clients, “Do it scared. Just start.” Waiting for the perfect moment or until you feel 100% confident will only delay your progress. Sometimes, taking that first step-no matter how small- is the risk you need to take to propel yourself toward growth and clarity.

The beauty of life coaching is that I’m here to guide, support, and hold clients accountable as they navigate these risks. By creating a safe space for them to explore new possibilities, I help them break through self limiting beliefs and build a future they once thought was unattainable. The reward is not just the success in their goals but also personal transformation, greater self confidence, and the realization they are capable of so much more than they ever imagined.

In life, sometimes the risk is not taking one at all. So, take the leap- even if you’re scared- and together we will work to turn that risk into your greatest reward.
