Hi Ebony, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Amillion&1 Photography & Video Imaging: A Journey of Purpose and Passion
Since 2014, The married couple duo, Nick & Ebony Mitchell of Amillion&1
Photography & Video Imaging have been dedicated to capturing special moments that
tell unique stories. What began with documenting their four daughter’s sports activities
(cheer, dance, volleyball, & track), family, friends, and serving in the church
blossomed into a business rooted in purpose and faith. Officially established on
November 3, 2014, it goes beyond a mere business for the founders; it’s a ministry.
This unique venture, founded on inspiration from a higher calling, specializes in
Portraits, Business Branding, Commercial, Marketing, Events, Weddings, and Video Imaging
services. Offering drone video footage and personalized photo book keepsakes, the
business crafts tailor-made experiences for its clients. In a digital age, they also
provide digital business cards as part of their branding packages.
Amillion&1 Photography & Video Imaging doesn’t just focus on commercial success;
they extend their passion to the community through monthly youth photography
workshops called Purpose + Photography. Their belief in nurturing purpose and
talents from childhood is evident in their commitment to making a lasting impact for
generations.
The studio, located at 219 S. York Street, Lancaster, S.C. is available by appointment,
and serves not just a local area but the world. Their global vision is fueled by the belief
that remembering childhood gifts and talents unveils the path to one’s purpose. The
founders express their elation, humility, and honor in sharing blessings with their
clients, #amillion1blessings.
Education Background: Both graduated from South Carolina State University where
they first met. Ebony started capturing images in elementary with a polaroid camera
gifted by her parents one Christmas Day. Ebony moved on to obtain her Bachelor of
Science Degree in Biology minor in Chemistry, studied marketing at Liberty University
and photo classroom in Charlotte, N.C. Nick obtained his Bachelors Degree in
Electrical Engineering and Masters Degree in Management & Leadership. Nick gained
skills in photography & video imaging from his father.
At the heart of their journey is “The Inspirational Alter-Ego (IAE) Movement,” a project
that not only narrates the evolution from purpose to photography but also shares stories of overcomers that inspire and unite.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I would say just believing it could be done and staying consistent.

How do you define success?
Freedom in how I spend my time and I’m able to be there when my family needs me. And I actually know who I am and I know what my purpose is in life now. That’s success to me.
