Life & Work with Dakassha Holmon of Dallas, Texas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dakassha Holmon.

Hi Dakassha, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey started from a place of survival. I moved to Texas by myself after leaving an unhealthy relationship, with little money and no clear plan—just a strong faith and a belief that there was more waiting for me. I was constantly being told I wouldn’t make it, that I wasn’t good enough. But I knew I couldn’t let that be my story.

I started working nonstop—job after job—trying to keep my head above water, but I was still broke and mentally drained. I didn’t grow up learning about credit, business, or financial freedom. Everything I know now, I had to teach myself through experience, trial and error, and relentless learning.

What changed everything for me was understanding credit and how powerful it really is. Once I learned how to use credit as a tool instead of a trap, I rebuilt my life from the ground up. I launched Kay’s Financial Services and began helping others fix their credit and build businesses the right way—without using their personal money. Over time, that grew into multiple programs, mentorships, and events, including Wealthy Women on Wheels and the Wealthy Women Society Group.

Now I mentor other women and business owners across the country on how to fix their credit, structure their business properly, and access funding using OPM—Other People’s Money. I’ve helped mentees secure tens of thousands in funding, launch credit businesses, and break generational cycles.

My story is about more than just business—it’s about faith, freedom, and showing others that you can truly rewrite your future, no matter where you start.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Definitely not a smooth road—but every bump taught me something valuable.

When I first moved to Texas, I had no family support, barely any money, and no real direction. I was told I wouldn’t make it, and I struggled with self-doubt, burnout, and survival mode. I worked multiple jobs, sometimes two or three at once, just to make ends meet—and still found myself living paycheck to paycheck.

Starting my business wasn’t easy either. In the beginning, I used all my personal money and had no systems in place. I felt overwhelmed, lost, and questioned if I had made the right decision. I made mistakes, trusted the wrong people, and had to learn the hard way how to build a business the right way—from branding to automation to hiring a team.

There were also personal struggles. I had to unlearn toxic mindsets, rebuild my confidence, and push through seasons of loneliness, doubt, and fear. There were days I cried, wanted to give up, and wondered if this was really meant for me.

But through it all, I kept my faith. I kept showing up—even when I didn’t feel ready. Every obstacle shaped me into the woman I am today, and now I use those lessons to help other women and business owners avoid the same struggles I faced.

So no, it wasn’t smooth—but it was necessary.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a Credit and Business Strategist, mentor, and founder of several initiatives including Kay’s Financial Services, Wealthy Women on Wheels, and Future Wealth Chasers. My work is centered around helping women and entrepreneurs build strong personal and business credit, structure their businesses properly, and access capital through funding strategies that leverage OPM—Other People’s Money.

I specialize in simplifying complex financial topics and providing hands-on mentorship through digital courses, workshops, and in-person experiences. I’m known for teaching entrepreneurs how to build bank-ready businesses and secure funding—without using their own money. My signature programs have helped clients launch credit repair companies, access tens of thousands in funding, and create sustainable income streams.

What I’m most proud of is the impact. I’ve helped clients who were once denied for everything finally get approved, grow their businesses, and create generational change. It’s about more than just funding—it’s about creating financial freedom, building confidence, and rewriting legacies.

What sets me apart is my lived experience. I’ve walked the journey from survival to strategy, and I bring real-world insight, transparency, and a deep level of support to everything I do. My clients don’t just get information—they get systems, structure, and mentorship designed to create long-term success.

I’m committed to helping others turn their financial challenges into opportunities for growth and legacy-building.

Any big plans?
Looking ahead, my focus is on scaling the impact of everything I’ve built. One of my main priorities is growing Wealthy Women on Wheels into a national movement—traveling city to city, hosting financial empowerment experiences that help women build bankable businesses and access real funding. I’m also expanding the Wealthy Women Society Group to reach more women who are ready to take control of their finances, build strong business foundations, and walk in their purpose.

In addition, I’m developing high-level mentorship programs and digital products that allow entrepreneurs to work with me at different stages of their journey—from learning how to repair credit, to launching funding companies of their own.

Long-term, I’m planning to secure a permanent building for my nonprofit Future Wealth Chasers, where we’ll offer hands-on financial literacy programs for youth and families, and create a safe space to learn, grow, and build generational wealth.

Overall, I’m excited about helping more people shift from survival to strategy—and doing it with faith, structure, and a powerful community behind them.
