Inspiring Conversations with Sarah Adebule of Counterpoint Studios and Upstate Powerhouse Pros

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Adebule.

Hi Sarah , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always been an entrepreneur at heart, but I didn’t know it! I started several little “businesses” as a kid and teen such as: selling lemonade, jewelry, bath bombs, pet sitting, babysitting, and even art! But as I made my way through college, I had to come up with creative ways of supporting myself since I had a double full-time class load! So I started teaching music, and found a love and passion for helping foster greatness in my students! I enjoy teaching, and I also enjoy building and growing businesses! So running Counterpoint Studios and Upstate Powerhouse Pros with my husband truly gives me the best of both worlds 🙂

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely has not! All of my little businesses and “failures” were truly just building blocks to get to where I am today. Things have definitely gotten hard, and I have had my fair share of impostor syndrome and the “what ifs”, but I have made the choice to not be afraid of failure, and instead let it be a teacher.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Counterpoint Studios and Upstate Powerhouse Pros?
Counterpoint Studios:
Counterpoint Studios is a creative music studio that offers individualized lessons in piano, guitar, loog, ukulele, songwriting, and more. We specialize in helping students of all ages connect with music in a way that feels personal, empowering, and enjoyable! Our approach is not one-size-fits-all — we tailor each lesson to the student’s individual goals, personality, and learning style. What sets us apart is our focus on creativity and individuality. Whether students are beginners learning their first notes, or advanced musicians refining their artistry, we meet them where they are and help them grow. We also integrate music theory, therapeutic use of music, and songwriting to help students understand and express themselves through music. We’re most proud of creating a space where every student feels seen, supported, and inspired — a studio that nurtures lifelong musicianship and self-expression.

Growing up, I couldn’t sit still! I used to have a billion different hobbies, and started my entrepreneurial journey at the age of 8 holding lemonade stands with my friend to raise money for the local animal shelter since I wasn’t old enough to volunteer there yet 🙂
