Hi Regan, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
For the better part of two decades, my world was the hum of an anesthesia machine and the controlled chaos of a busy treatment floor. I started in the kennels, earned my LVT license, and eventually moved into practice management, leading teams in every kind of hospital imaginable—GP, ER, and multi-specialty. I loved the medicine, I loved the people, and I was good at making the complex gears of a hospital turn smoothly.
But in every veterinary practice, from the 10-person family clinic to the 100-person specialty center, I saw the same paradox: brilliant veterinarians and dedicated managers who were masters of medicine but were being slowly crushed by the business. They were drowning in a sea of disconnected advice. StrategiVET was born for two reasons, to provide a career path for talented veterinary professionals who are ready to leave the practice floor and to provide partnerships to privately owned practice across the US that are beneficial to their future as business owners. StrategiVET provides strategy and marketing to private veterinary practices.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Creating StrategiVET has been a very organic process for me. After 27 years in the practice, I was able to ee where my community was struggling. It has been easy to connect with affiliate strategist after working in the industry for so many years. Many vet professionals were having the same career struggles as I was. Connecting with practices and getting our services out to the world is certainly the biggest struggle.
