Hi Jessica, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
We have truly been blessed with the most precious horses for over 20 years now. They are endeared family to us, and we just can’t imagine life without these big babies.
Over the years, we have supplied friends and family with our composted manure, as well as using large amounts ourselves. We are hard core tree huggers and concerned environmentalists who want to make a contribution in reducing the amount of chemicals being used in agriculture and personal home use. Our goal is to provide, even on a small scale, fertilizer that contains no added chemicals and will not harm earth worms, pollinators or any other aspect of nature as it is straight from horse to sun to barn to soil.
We price our product to where it is affordable for our intention isn’t to get rich but to encourage people to use no chemical added products, chemical free products or natural organic choices. We feel natural is not only the best way but the necessary way due to the negative effects chemicals are having on our planet.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
As we just started the journey, we are encountering the typical struggles of a new business which involve getting our brand in circulation and creating awareness. We also have the added issue of launching a new product in a consumer market that is presently experiencing inflation.

Straight From The Horse is a composted horse manure that is filled with a variety of nutrients including naturally occurring copper, magnesium and zinc and that has no added chemicals which makes it safe for earth worms, bugs, pollinators, animals, humans, etc.
Our pH level shows a 7 in lab results which is safe and compatible with all soils enabling you to use our fertilizer with no concerns.
Our horses are Comanche and Lucky who are very spoiled and loved family members who have been with us for over 20 years.
We do all the work ourselves; it is a family operated and managed farm and brand.
We are proud to offer a product that has no added chemicals and is safe for the planet.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
We feel natural products will massively boom over the next years as a swing occurs away from harsh chemicals to more products that parallel with nature. We believe this transfer will continue to progress rapidly due to the upcoming generations’ views on environmental health and safety. We are excited that every model shows this trend will continue to expand and will hopefully rid our world of all damaging chemicals.
