Inspiring Conversations with Bill And Vicki Shouse of Shouse Farm and Garden Supply

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bill And Vicki Shouse.

Hi Bill and Vicki, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
In the late 1960’s Bill’s Grandparents moved here from North Carolina and purchased property to farm produce.
His father, Willie Shouse, relocated here after serving in Vietnam. They retired from farming in the late 90’s.
Last year, Bill inherited the farm property. We decided to make good use of it and re-open the feed and seed store. We worked tirelessly for 3 months to make repairs to the building.
Shouse Farm and Garden Supply re-opened on April 1, 2024. We have grown from minimal inventory to quite a variety of merchandise.
We offer livestock feed, seeds for your garden, fresh produce, and a variety of handmade items from local vendors.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
We haven’t encountered many obstacles. However, we have worked very hard. From loading feed bags to growing and harvesting vegetables, it is hard work. But we enjoy every minute of it.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Shouse Farm and Garden Supply?
We offer Feed, Seed, Farm Fresh Produce, and our most popular item is Boiled Peanuts!

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
That Bill and I have a blended family. He has 2 daughters and I have 4 daughters. So, even though they are rarely seen here at the store, we have 6 daughters, 3 son in laws and 4 grandsons!
