Hidden Gems: Meet Shante Rubin of Royal HR at Hand

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shante Rubin.

Hi Shante, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
I started my business in 2021 after I noticed the gap between job seekers and employees. Many applicants are highly skilled but lack soft skills and career development. Thus, companies struggle with talent management. Some businesses lack a solid HR infrastructure and /or funds which make it difficult to recruit new talent and retain employees. I created a comprehensive plan that provides products and services that connect both parties.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been a smooth road. Transitioning from an employee into an entrepreneur is very challenging. I had to face low cash flow, limited marketing, and imposter syndrome. However, over time I have learned how to manage my budget, create a marketing strategy, and believe in my vision and skills.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Royal HR at Hand, LLC (RHRH) is a career development and HR support firm. We specialize in resume writing, interview preparation, career coaching, full cycle recruitment, policy creation, HR templates, and more. We are known for treating each of our clients with integrity and respect. We do not believe in the “One Size Fits All” approach.

We customize our services for each of our clients. We focus on quality and strategies, not a generic outline. We understand that each of our clients are unique, and they have unique needs. I am extremely proud of the direction in which RHRH is going, and I am looking forward to expanding our clientele.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most important lesson that I have learned is that I must be persistent and confident. Being an entrepreneur is challenging and rewarding. I have faced many obstacles; however, each challenge has made me more knowledgeable and stronger.
