Today we’d like to introduce you to Patrick Lydon.
Hi Patrick, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
We are a band formed by two brothers and their mutual friends. 4 out of 5 of the members attended UNC Chapel Hill for college but we did not all meet there. We span age ranges of 23-30yo.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I think the pandemic has been the biggest struggle thus far.
In 2019, we worked really hard to get into a really good place, had a really awesome tour planned for the Spring/Summer of 2020, opening for some bands that I have dreamed about playing with, and then the pandemic hit and it felt like we had lost all our progress.
We tried doing live webcasts to keep the momentum going, but it soon became apparent that people weren’t interested in watching a band through their computer screen, they want to be in person.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We make music intended to make audiences dance. That is our specialty – a good time. I think one comment that I hear from fans most often is how much fun our music is and the atmosphere we create.
Any big plans?
We are recording a new album that is planned to be released in September. Still working on a name, but all the songs are recorded and they are all awesome.
We are very excited to release this new project. It will be a completely new sound as we have a new member – Alo Ver – she is our new singer. People will be blown away by her voice.
