Today we’d like to introduce you to Lena Hopkins.
Hi Lena, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Somewhere in the years ahead of retiring out of my thirties I decided I needed some type of career and lifestyle change. For as long as i can remember I have always had a love for fashion and beauty so it was a simple decision to pursue a career as an esthetician. After graduation I took a leap of faith in myself and begin the journey of opening my own Facial Studio. I knew I had a big yet simple mission in skin care. I want everyone to know and feel Beautiful, no make up, no filters, no extras, just simply confident in their own skin. With the love and support of family and friends my dream was placed into reality when I opened Skin Emporium, located in Myrtle Beach in August of 2025.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Having the opportunity to become my own boss and business owner has been nothing short of rewarding. Running a Facial studio as a solo esthetician has truly brought out my most inner strengths and confidence. Day to day operations have fallen nothing short of requiring the ability to wear many different hats. From marketing to building clientele there is never enough hours in the day for a solo esthetician. My greatest hurdle by far has been navigating the world of Social Media. Not having very much experience in the past with creating and editing content has its own challenges. Taking myself out of my comfort zone to do so has been a great confidence builder these fast few months.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Upon opening Skin Emporium I knew the message I wanted to send would be simple. I just want everyone I come into contact with to know they are beautiful. No make up, no filters, no nothing… simply that “You are Beautiful”. I wanted to sculpt a place that was made of peace, relaxation and beauty. This private space is yours for the treatment time and yours alone. Treatments are tailored for each clients individual needs and skin concerns. Here at Skin Emporium Iam proud to specialize in and offer treatments such as Micro-needling, Dermaplaning, Chemical Peels, Microdermabrasion, LED Light Therapy and Lash lift & Tint. Beauty is different for everyone and each Elite Facial is designed with this in mind. I do not believe in any hidden add ons to treatments and have priced with clients in mind. I hate to hear “cant afford” when it comes to skin care so I wanted Skin Emporium to put skin care in the hands of everyone
What’s next?
In the future I’m looking forward to helping more and more people feel comfortable in their own skin. Each day that I get the opportunity to come into contact with another beautiful human being is a blessing and truly feeds my soul. There is nothing more rewarding than watching someone’s self confidence just glow. Everyone deserves to feel beautiful as well as confident, with this all being said I’m just overjoyed to introduce Skin Emporium to our Community.
