Hi Destiny, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
From a young age I had always dreamed of helping and working with animals. I spent several years working in the shelter, veterinary offices, and even dog daycare. I recognized a lack of dependable in home pet care and wanted to create something meaningful for me and the people in the community that could be trusted. Not just for cats and dogs, but also for exotics and farm animals. My goal has always been to provide ‘Pet Care Like You’re There!’ where clients can feel confident their pets are in good hands while they are being walked or cared for in the owner’s absence. All while in the comfort of their own home.
Today, I’m proud of how far Premier Pets has come. It’s grown from a small hobby helping friends, to something more. I’ve been able to expand services, build long-term relationships, and start planning for the next step of potentially bringing on additional sitters and maybe one day opening a physical location. It’s been a journey of balancing motherhood and business ownership, but it’s incredibly rewarding to see both my daughter and my business grow together.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been the smoothest road, but it’s been worth every challenge. Becoming a new mom while running a pet care business has taught me a lot about balance, perseverance and patience.
The hardest part has been learning to give myself grace and understanding that I can’t do and please everything and everyone, but I can always show up with care and dedication. Juggling motherhood and entrepreneurship has also made me more empathetic and grounded. I know how much trust it takes to let someone not only care for your pets, but come into your home, so I make sure my clients feel that same reliability, trust and compassion I give to my own family.
It’s not always easy, but it’s been incredibly amazing to build something that supports both my family, and the families I work with.

Premier Pets is all about providing reliable, loving care to animals of all kinds – from dogs and cats to small exotics and farm animals. We offer dog walking, pet sitting, drop-in visits, poop scooping, and pet taxi services. Our slogan is ‘Pet Care Like You’re There; because I want every client to feel completely at ease knowing their pets are being cared for just as they would do themselves.
What really sets us apart is the personal touch. I’m not just running a business – I’m also building relationships. Clients know they can count on me for consistency, clear communication, and genuine care. I do also bring my daughter along at times, which has become a special part of our story. She will learn responsibility and compassion from seeing me work hands-on with animals every day, and my clients love seeing that family-centered approach.
At the heart of it, we are more than just pet care – it’s about trust, family, and community. I want readers to know that when they choose us, they are choosing a small, locally owned business that treats every pet with compassion and love.

What matters most to me is trust, compassion, and family. When someone invites me to care for their pets, they’re me with a part of their family and life. I never take that lightly. I want every pet owner to have complete peace of mind knowing their pets are in good hands while they aren’t present.
This business has become something really special for me and my daughter. She’s learning right alongside me about kindness, responsibility, and what it means to put your heart into your work. What matters most is knowing that I’m building something that not only helps others but also shows her that with love and determination, you can create something that fits who you are.
